This will be my third and last Ferrari. I still have an F12 to sell. I am profoundly disappointed that Ferrari is delivering cars that have not been made at least 99% complete. They had plenty of time to develop this software. What have they been doing? So they deliver a car that still has Beta software? Sound like something an American manufacturer would do. Now I have to wait to see if my new car will need a service right after I receive it? Even my new C8 corvette ,with what I believe is a much better digital display system, works great and has more features than Ferrari. Something has changed at Ferrari. If they think that they can continue to charge very high prices with no discounts and long wait times and keep the buyers coming they may be mistaken. Many are and will be unhappy I imagine. I for one am not persuaded that Ferrari deserves my continued support.

These are a couple of speed shapes I did quick spray outs of Blu Abu Dhabi and Blu Mirabeau on when I was finalising my spec. There is quite a difference between these two colours as you can see. Mirabeau (top of pic) is lighter whilst Abu Dhabi has more green in it giving a teal effect in certain lighting conditions. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just curious... How does the PPF hold up to getting your car keyed or door bang from neighbor car? And do you put the ceramic on top of that? Why ? Why not? thanks
Just give it a chance. I have one of the first cars delivered in the US and haven’t had any issues at all. I am obviously thankful for that especially as I do not have a local dealer and my closest service dealer is 400 miles away so highly inconvenient. I see it a little differently, I am actually amazed at what Ferrari has been able to do as a small manufacturer. To do almost everything in house on this technical scale and still feel handmade is impressive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wow, smooth animations, I guess they finally fixed that. Hope mine get’s delivered like that. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Paint correction first. Film second. Ceramic on top. If you put ceramic coating on before the film, the film will never adhere correctly. Andy Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Not true. My installer put down a ceramic layer first. The paint from the factory was pretty flawless already so it just needed a cleaning. He finds that putting down the ceramic coat first allows the ppf to adhere well and allows the film to be easily removed without removing the paint. It turns out he needed to do this as he found a hair under the film at final inspection. Heating the film he was easily able to lift the section and remove the hair and reply the film. No damage whatsoever. Then he applied the top ceramic coating. Now the car looks amazing! He was meticulous and highly skilled! SV

So how involved was it to do that front grill? Did you layer the entire grill with a piece of film and then individually cut out each hole in the grill?

That looks like a real pain in the ass to do! But given the location its a must. I'll be doing that to mine as well. Sure looks great in the 'finished' photos. Really interesting color.
]Thanks for the reply. So did they cut out each hole individually or were they able to get a pre-cut film and then apply it.
Thanks for sharing these images of your Roma and especially in different lighting. Picture number 3 looks like the car was machined out of a block of aluminum, amazing result!
Precut pattern. He cuts it on his machine. Changes it as he sees fit. For example, on the roof, the pattern called for a seam on the A pillar. He didn’t like that so changed the pattern to curve inward so he could recover enough length to not have a seam. He had to massage the film to bend correctly but he got it to work. Also there is a seam in the C pillar but he changed the placement where he could blend it into a design line in the windows so it would be less noticeable. Really masterful work! Assuming it stays in place well of course! My installer adjusts the designs as he sees fit. SV
Last pic was taken today at the dealer. Had to drop it off to get a a software update. As they took it behind the gate the car changed color to almost Grigio Ingrid for a few moments... waiting for a great sunset to see how it changes... SV
In fact, the closest to Gr. Ingrid as per my screen would be the 3rd pic (homes), whereas the last one (gate) looks more like Argento.
