True, but I was thinking over a longer time frame as well as the once cheap but good beef cuts are discovered...T
I actually barely even tried them. Wasn't hungry and too tired lol. But they seemed to be pretty good.
I got a taco pizza. By the time I got keys and did a walk through. Didn't eat until 7pm. I planned to sleep at the new house, but my air mattress wasn't holding air. Had Bella with me. It was a pain walking her in the backyard on leash in ankle deep snow. Got soaking wet jeans. Hate being wet and cold. Normally Id let her off leash in the yard. But being a new place. I want to check the perimeter of the fence. Make sure no spots she can get out.
Shrimp and veggies last night. Frozen veggies from Costco and sautéd on the stovetop they were a little rubbery, too much water, should have thawed and dried them move. I thought they were ok, the wife thought they could have been better. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It came out quite nice. Little to much salt but not bad. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
We used to buy Costco frozen veggies in the past when fresh was out of season, but we had that same issue, which is why we stopped buying them. Ended up being steamed when we cooked them, which I'm not a fan of. Special dinner on a cold and snowy V Day with my two of my 3 blond bombshells - Cali is off for annual service. Miyazaki beef from DeBragga. A 2015 Gigondas to go with. Not the world's greatest wine, but a wine we grew to like after our honeymoon in France a zillion years ago.merry My crappy iPhone pics don't do this beef justice. Kept it simple. Small salad beforehand. Only Kosher salt on the beef. A little fermented soy sauce to lightly dip for a nice umami hit. The good stuff! I think I told this story before, but my mom used to buy the cheap knockoff stuff, because we were poor urchins. I assumed rich kids ate Kraft Mac N cheese! T
Meatloaf with wagyu ground beef - pulled the wrong ground beef out of the freezer. Sure was tasty! And champagne and treats afterwards! Edit... A Barolo wine for dinner. Tasty. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Thank you! It was crazy good. Fork tender. I forget in which YouTube video I saw it, but they had a little soy sauce to lightly dip the steak. That was the cherry on the sundae. I think the other smart thing I learned from this thread, don't overdo it. We just had a side salad to go with and shared one steak, which was a strip steak. T
So finally tried my ribs. Pretty good but something was missing. Maybe it was a tad bit more salt or maybe something I'm missing.
Are you drinking wine out of IKEA tumblers?!? That looks great. I need to make a meatloaf for the wife. It's her favorite. I only hesitate because she likes her meatloaf with ketchup! T
