You’re 100% correct. In fact buying the 599XX I heard you were contractually guaranteed a LaFerrari (not yet named) which was about 2yrs out. Times were so tough Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Thanks. Always fun to anticipate a new arrival with you all. Looking forward to seeing the real thing.
That sounds more expensive than I would have imagined. I believe their MSRP was lower than this number. I wonder if being part of the XX program still automatically guarantees a top client status (even if you buy second hand) and the reason for the continued elevated price.
At this point, my experience is that the purchase of an XX car can get get you into the program right away (assuming you can commit the time/$). Not sure if participation carries the same weight on future allocations, but it certainly helps...potentially a lot. XX car resale values still reflect that assumption.
I’ve had 2 friends who own 1 or two current Ferrari’s contact me today as they had heard that a VS was imminent -apparently it’s unobtanium for them but they are getting excited as pure enthusiasts ... it seems like the buzz is starting to circulate amongst the more measured recent clients as well as those besotted addicted addicteds like me .... ingegnere’s drawing looks awesome and appropriately aggressive ...... I’m tapping my fingers waiting for some unofficial official pics/info ...
be·sot·ted /bəˈsädəd/ adjective 1. strongly infatuated. "he became besotted with his best friend's sister"
Now RACE is US listed disclosure has to be spot on, may be one reason they have stopped numbered editions as cannot get away with over production in a US securities law context.
I think you need to have some medical support close at hand for Thursday. Now if you get a car... dial 999... I hope you do, you deserve one for devotion and enthusiasm.
Agree that the taycan is an amazing bit of kit and I love mine but the 812 still feels more (much) special to me. Still crickets on my end but hoping for a miracle
My Euro dealer was in that range too. From what I can sniff up, Pista Spider is around the 1000-1200 number. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I think it would be great with a numbered 812. But I also think Ferrari needs to change the way they do this. Getting a plaque that says "1 of 799" is as silly as 1 of 3000. Of course it means that they would be unable to make as many 1 of XXXX as they want. What is the known VIN'sof Skeciale Apertas at now, over 600 confirmed cars? Lord only knows how many TdF's are out there. I suppose what I'm getting at is that the nu.bering only means something if the car is actually numbered. I got an early Pista allocation, switched to early Spider allocation. Did not have to buy anything. The notion that one had to buy anything, seems like another case of US dealer BS. Nothing more. As for that whole debate about client level. Don't forget that involvement with Ferrari matters a lot. Ferrati likes to see participation. There are guys with 3-4 cars that rank higher than 15 car owners because they do the events. Going on the Classiche rally, doing all the Corso Pilotas etc. that kind of stuff makes the Maranello guys really happy. There are so many steps to this dance. Giving each car it's own number has no real benefits to Ferrari. Instead it creates many problems. Who gets number 1. Someone wants a specific number for an endless number of reasons. Ferrari rolls out the new series to various markets in a specific build order yet has number requests that don't follow the chosen Ferrari roll-out plan. 750 yes up front as the total but specific numbers assigned is nothing but trouble for the factory!
