SF90 Stradale Spider

Some of us have criticized Ferrari design after dumping Pinnafarina but I have to say, they are really catching their stride now. The details are amazing.

I mean -- look at those wheels. So clever. I guarantee you the aftermarket will copy this.

I’m still not crazy about the C shape headlight/vents however it looks better in person.

 

Oh I love how they integrated the top wing. Again something that will be copied over and over like the "gull wings" on the front of the 458 was.

 

I also love that gold paint. Very 60's but bolder. A decision that really paid off.

The spider is THE SF90 to have. That gold color is called Monaco something, can’t recall. It is fantastic.

 

What's the price increase over the coupe?

Interesting they built another SF90 Spider in the Giallo Montecarlo launch specification.

 

Getting ready to submit my spider order and thinking about Rosso Fuoco with black roof. I want a candy apple metallic red with some depth. Admittedly, I’ve seen plenty of pictures and videos, but never seen the color in person. Any thoughts and/or opinions are welcome. Thanks!

When you spend this much for a special color I would be less inclined to cover the roof of the body in black paint...

I read somewhere that Ferrari designers suggest the roof of the spider be painted black, to accent the body lines. Having examined photos of the stradale both in body color and black, I can see why they say that. I only wish I could recite the source of the statement. But, I do understand your point, as the triple layer paint is a healthy adder, and the black roof isn’t free either.

 

Black Roof BIC is no cost option...SEL on price list.

Yes that’s true, but on my order in UK for SF90 it’s a no cost option. Also the passenger display is standard, albeit it’s more in the center than passenger side.
