The process I have seen here in the U.S. is back in early December, Ferrari contacted dealers asking for names for a yet unspecified car. Ferrari supplied the initial list and the dealer was asked to add/delete from that list. My name was on the Ferrari list. Late last week, a new list showed up - presumably from Ferrari, not FNA, also with my name on it. The privacy protection needed to be updated I was told and that was it.
Both Europe and the US have been sent out to the dealers at this point it would seem. Quite sure if one does not hear anything today, it's pretty much that. It's not that many after all, so each dealer can pretty quickly notify clients. What I find interesting now is, what we all want. Aperta or Coupé. I'm not talking about value or status here, just what would you think would be the best fit for you. Let's hear some thoughts on this. I'm a drop top guy at heart, hence why I also opted for the GTS. So clearly I would prefer an Aperta as I would like that for roadtrips and weekend fun. Not seeing this as a track car at all.
Did the guys who received the email all signed on to the Ferrari privacy policy update that was sent a few weeks ago?
I did my TM GTS as a keeper so I’m probably in the minority snd would be happy with the coup. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Haven't heard anything about that. Not sure how that pertains to my previous post. I'm just saying that to me it looks like US and Euro dealers are ready to inform clients, as I know some in the US who got their email, and we here in Europe seem to have gotten ours. If each dealer has to send out what, 5-15 emails depending on dealer, it's pretty quickly done.
Congrats buddy !! Well deserved !! Same thing just happened to me this lunchtime ! I read some posts and my email pinged and the lovely feeling of the video invite waiting for me ... I’m not ashamed to admit I’m on a “giggly schoolgirl high”- haven’t even seen the car yet but feel grateful and lucky and so so excited ...
Congratulations Jag! Really hoping this is going to be a great car, I think it will be. Expectations seem high from everyone. He seemed pretty confident in the video.... If it’s really good you might have to change your name from Jag to Fez!
It is the V12 “secret handshake” started by Jag with some screwy smartphone posts awhile back. Just us being children really.
Now I’m confused...I got that privacy policy email yesterday...and I doubt I’m on any VS factory list.
If an owner does not have a current approved privacy statement on file with Ferrari, they ( in theory ) would not get communications from Ferrari SpA nor FNA or Dealership. Every Ferrari owner, that's in Ferrari's system, should approve their privacy policy, its not just for VIP or Top Clients, it pertains to every client, even one who has never purchased a Ferrari from a Dealer and only services it with one. I get a call today. The next days the other clients will get a message. I hear there were a little bit delay in the System. I don't know if I get a Coupe or Aperta. I own a 812SF and 812GTS so i'm flexible Sorry for my bad english
