Did the $2 Whoppers at Burger King. Got two cause I'm not crazy about the fries there. Pretty good for $2 each. It was on the way home and an easy stop. Was tired and dirty, didn't feel like getting something better.

The photo doesn't do justice for it. One of the tastiest cuts of beef in existence, but few know it outside Argentina or Brazil. Good for me, who can buy it in Milan for half of the price of the most of the other beef cuts:

Looks great. Perfectly cooked as well.
    Picanha, cupim or something else?
    T

Edit - I see you answered above. Picanha has become more popular thanks to Brazlian-style steakhouses in the US, but still "under the radar" compared to other cuts.

    Great advice. :D

That's a nice touch on the personal welcome.

My sister made home made Chicken cordon bleu last week for my Bday dinner. It was really good.

I was going to make some comfort food yesterday, meatballs and sauce, but didn't have tomatoes. Had some mushrooms and a touch of cream so they ended up more Swedish than Italian. Still tasty. Had leftovers tonight with just some frozen broccoli tossed in.

Love Swedish meatballs. Always have them if we go to IKEA. They published the recipe at the start of the pandemic.

    Most importantly, happy birthday @Jdubbya

If you can find a tri tip that has a generous fat cap, then you can kind of, sort of simulate a picanha. Cook it over charcoal on a rotisserie, if you have one, and serve with chimichurri. Serve up with some grilled pineapple and caipirinhas...T

Thanks. I put LOTS of garlic in mine whether Italian or Swedish. I also went almost totally missing on the breadcrumbs, and no egg. They still hold together well enough. And for the sauce I just add some cream once I've cooked the mushrooms and onions down and let it thicken naturally, no flour. Oh, and I add some warmer spices like nutmeg and maybe cardamom to both the balls and sauce. I would usually add some parsley too but didn't have any. Still tasty!!

    Happy belated Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Costco ones are good, but not as good as homemade.

Last night did sushi............ tuna and salmon sashimi. Chopped scallop rolls and Boston Rolls. Should have ordered more rolls, was still hungry for more. But I'm now limiting groceries in the house. Less to move.

    That sucks.

The HEB grocery store usually has a couple out. It's definitely another cut of beef worth having.

I got fried chicken from a former Church's for lunch. Got 15 pieces family pack. Plan to have the left overs for dinner. I like fried chicken cold.

I got some from D'Artgnan last Fall. It was good. We've had good luck ordering all their poultry. For beef, I think DeBragga is better among places we have used.

If you sign up for D'Artagnan email, you get a discount on your first order (or used to). But, be warned, they send a lot of emails - deals, recipes, etc...T
