Wow. If you want 0-60 buy a Tesla. If you want 60-whatever get the 765LT.

once the car is launched at a sufficient speed on a roll race without "monster electric INSTANT (spinning XD) torque" (and with some tubo lag... :p) the traction is not a so big deal to face, if the surface is at least "decent". Of course from standing start the 765LT it was simply raped XD, but is normal even that. On the roll the 765lt is a bit better, honestly not so much (at least on short distance...) if one consider that have almost 900hp on dyno ( ) and at least 300kilos less (and is an understimated value imho XD). Still, the sf90 deserved a carbon tube, but as usual they use the standard philosopy: "minimal" effort for max returns. When mc will pull on table his own hybrid plugin v8 the sf90 will be chewed and spitted away and not, and ferrari will still (since the MC 12 age...we know that well..) dont give a s...i about and, and count moneys. I wonder for how long this kind of line can work....

Love both cars but as two street cars on the street 765 has no chance, the SF90 is the total package.

It's pretty much what you'd guess.

    1) In less than ideal conditions, 765LT didn't go sub 3

    2) 150hp difference is largely offset by the weight difference

    3) ..and most surprising considering above, the electric front drive still gave the SF90 a great jump

Mclaren is much more attractive than sf90. But that’s wholly irrelevant to this video.

Just watched the video. It’s about what I’d expect. Some thoughts:

    1. it looked chilly there, 50’s for sure. No way a RWD drive can get adequate traction in that environment on essentially a dusty road

    2. why didn’t they run on their prepped surface for a few?

    3. surprised that the Mclaren seems to gain on the SF90 during gear changes, I figured the E motors of the SF90 would fill in the gaps more.

    4. I think at PBIR the 765 wins by a car length in the 1/4. On the street, the SF90 is just going to win. Electric power and AWD just does it. However, even on that surface I figured the SF90 would rip off better than 2.8 seconds to 60. Basically it shows how bad the conditions were considering a couple weeks prior in Puerto Rico Brooks did 2.2 seconds to 60 in an SF90 on the street.

because the ferrari's driver clearly have no clue of what he's doing (you can clerly hear it..). A random Tuk Tuk driver in Thailand can upshift better

What was really suprising that the 765lt starts pulling on those rollraces, and has higher trapspeed on the 1/4mile.
Wonder what the real weight of the sf90 is, more like 1800-1850kg, than the official Ferrari numbers or the real output ist just shoter than 1000hp.
Do we know if the elec power quoted is peak power, if it is peak power for how long is the max elec power available (Tesla as far is i know is just quoting peak power on the stats, but it is not written for how long this peak power is available.

4150 pounds for a super car is just unthinkably heavy. That would mean the 765 LT is over 1000 pounds lighter.

    Mix this ingredients:

-hybrid plugin (so not just hybrid, that's mean bigger batteries to have a decent autonomy in e-mode)

    -v8 biturbo

    -awd

    = lots of hardware!

That's the reason why still don't understand why they didn't use a carbon frame in a car that born severly penalized (+270kg they say) from the concept itself. If there was a car that should have it is the sf90, but on merits they're STUBBORN as....anyway, by now continuing to repeat it becomes just pedantic and boring, so that's my lasts two cents on the matter, promised. :D

All McLaren look equally ugly, especially the 720s. The most inanimate and even repulsive modern sports car design. Mutant alien and human, remember from the 1997 movie Alien Resurrection? With its black eye sockets and head shape, it is almost an exact replica of the 720c's "beautiful" design.

when we talk about aesthetics we talk about personal tastes and subjectivity. For example neither of two is a queen of beauty to my eyes

Well, yeah and fun still. Gives a glimpse of one small facet of the cars. Both are formidable. I was blown away about the lack of reverse gear in SF90. Wow. Very cool.

Brooks will likely (hopefully) do a proper weigh-in of the SF90 before the rematch. No more guessing.
