I didn’t realise they were that close in colour.

It’s the slight downside in choosing a ‘special’ colour, always going to be something running around very similar on another brand.

At least with Rosso Magma, you know it’s a Masser!

 

So you are removing all of the matte black plastic pieces, many of which are optional in carbon fiber, to have them painted gloss black? That will look absolutely phenomenal! Especially on Bianco Italia. Please post when completed. Congrats on the F8.

The paint pricing is ridiculous. I love the metallic whites, but not sure I could ever justify an extra $30k. Good justification to wrap your car instead...

I think the Mazda is a shade lighter and doesn't have the same depth.

 

I think I remember seeing your video when you initially posted it. If not,. it is a very similar video. I am sure it is a common video theme.

I know I had a hard time choosing between Fuji and Italia, and I didn't have the large selection. I didn't even get to see the colors live for weeks and it was basically comparing a 12 inch plate of Bianco Italia against an Avus 458 and Fuji F12. The plates doesn't work well for other than seeing the color, since you won't know how it will look or accentuate the car's lines (or not).

 

I think the Mazda here doesn’t have the newer version. It’s more of a pearlescent effect, and likely closest to Rosso Maranello. Funny story. I was sitting at a light taking my mom for a drive in a Rosso Maranello 812, and a Mazda CX-5 was turning at the light in front of us. Naturally it was the soul crystal red. Also naturally, the RM paint cost more than that car, and the Mazda likely had a better paint job. They are similar in that the color only lights up at certain angles in the sun. The Mazda red is a little darker overall.

 

I don’t understand why we can’t have an atelier like that in LA. So many cars here...

Yep, i posted this a while back.

 

Nothing with paint samples or TM aspects like that. My dealer has made me some samples when I was on the fence, but nothing official.

 

A few mills of this and a little less than that it will be the same. What im pointing out its the same effect primarily and secondly the Mazda is a $500 AUD option.

Also the fact that there was a time that the Coburn would have stood out like the proverbial in now would be lost in a sea of Mazdas.

I understand.. And yes, it sucks that Mazda does it for 500 AUD and we pay 10-30ks. However, they would not be able to sell for more. Just like Mercedes charges 1k for the Diamond white (Metallic white). But that is the price we pay for original Ferrari paint.

 

Guys its Ferrari, they charge CRAZY money for everything, the carbon cup holder option on my F12 was like 4K.

 

I'm going to wrap my Bianco Avus 488 in Avery Dennison Satin White Pearl shortly. I'll post pics to compare

 

Suddenly, I don't feel so bad anymore about paying fur Ferrari premium paint. I still feel bad because I know that Posrche does a better job caring for their paints. They're not perfect either but they do much better than Ferrari.

Recently ordered an F8 Spider in Rosso Fiorano (historic color) ... cost was $12,487. Not sure there are many out there in Rosso Fiorano. Delivery early 2022.
