I had boring leftovers today but tomorrow I'm having chili. Started a batch of chuck chili tonight. Only a couple chipotles this time! :)

Ahh @tomc, but this beef is healthy for you!!! Akaushi Beef
Akaushi beef contains a higher concentration of monounsaturated fat relative to saturated fat, which the American Heart Association notes can lead to lower cholesterol, the prevention of coronary heart disease, and weight loss.

I haven't been able to secure any yet but fingers crossed.

True. I do recall reading that now that you mention it.

@BrettC - did you try Heart Brand online?

Had a bowl of chili with some cheese and sour cream this afternoon. Tasty but could have been hotter. ;) I can't seem to hit the happy medium but I'll just add some hot sauce. I finished up this years batch of home made hot sauce a couple weeks ago. Not as tasty as last years but still very good.

Cutlets, carbonara, tomatoes & auricchio. Funny, my girls put out double production during the cold- got up to 15 eggs a day......go figure.

That pineapple habanero sounds excellent! I love sweet heat!

How was the ghost pepper sauce? I've tried ghost pepper based sauces twice and both times it kicked my butt! The last time I had a burger with ghost pepper sauce and it was too much for me. I was sitting outside @ the restaurant in 40 F temps swigging beer in my t-shirt to cool off!

Veggie soup. Mushrooms, celery, onions, garlic and turnip. I fortified it with some white rice. Topped with gojuchang and sambal oeleck. This is more my heat level. Mildly sweat inducing without cauterizing my taste buds!

All three are really good. Yeah, the ghost pepper has a kick! Nice apple flavor before it hits you.

The wife’s brunch today while I was working... Tabasco sriracha and the salsa verde. Pup treats on the side.

Sounds like a plan. We did steak last night. May have been the night before. Was 80 F after being 0 F last week. So, we grilled out. Prime filets from Costco. Yummy with some streamed broccoli...T

I love how you have the puppy treats at the ready! LOL. Those are some spoiled fur children.

I once made a habanero and tropical fruit hot sauce that was kind of like you described. A split second of sweet followed by intense heat.

I'm trying to grow some habanero from seed. But, man they're slow to germinate!

Thanks. It was very tender. I didn't do a final final temp check but it was somewhere around 150ish.

I pulled it at 138, when I thought it was done. Did another minute and a half and didn't check again.

Did the Italian BMT at Subway on white bread. Subway is really close to my new house, about two miles. A Papa John's in the same plaza. Across the street is the pizza chain I get the taco pizza at. Looking for a Chinese restaurant. Found one near me online. Looking at their menu, they charge $95 for the dinner for six. Less dishes then the place I was getting Chinese, but comes with wonton soup. Old restaurant was $70 for the dinner for six. The Japanese restaurant near me was ok, they also a tad on the expensive side price wise. A few more Japanese options near me. Browsing their menus online, non have the Boston Rolls I love on their menus. Its a 26 minute drive in traffic to my old neighborhood, so probably end up going to there for Japanese.
