This is a good rehash on the F111, wished I was still working on them, a great aircraft but extremely dangerous to be around if you're not careful .... the edges were razor sharp with 3,000 lbs of hydraulics moving big pieces of bodywork I remember being at Nellis AFB in the US and saw a launch member see a hydraulic leak on start up. he grabbed a big "C" spanner , opened the engine cowl and tightened up the aluminium nut breaking the lockwire I said to my sargent, "there's an IFE if ever I've seen one!!" Sure enough, PAN declared and it landed on it's belly ..... luckily no one hurt
