Not that is matters to those who know what they are looking at, but there was a boo-boo in the Ferrari build sheet listing the wheels as 20’s. They’re 19’s. 20’s never made. I also believe they are cast, not forged.

The car was for sale for a long time at Ferrari of Long Island listed IIRC at the $190k just prior to being picked up by the current dealer so it could have been picked up for less. I like the Pozzi but a little to much gold for my taste.

That's why it was only $195 at close....LOL!

I think "pressure cast" is the modern handling of the wheel alloy, and when you compare that to traditional pressure forging of steel, well......shrugs shoulders.

I too am going to admire that interior a few more times, a new F8 Tributo came in that had $40K in the seat option alone. only the first owner gets to burn money like that......:D :D

A lot of the Scuds and quite a few of the final 458s picked up the gold wheels as a tribute to racing heritage.

For me I would take it over black, all day long, but I agree "It depends on the car" and Pozzi Blue, a historical color, makes this work for me...
The $195 doesn't but that's on MY side, not the sellers.

Welcome to the OP by the way,
Like your style and there's a market here for nice cars all the time...

I bid up to 188k then it froze on me and wouldn't let me put any new bids. Not sure what happened, but congrats to the seller and buyer. Great car and great deal!

I agree it’s a beautiful car. It’s curious though that the car sat on Autotrader for 6 months at a lower price than the sale price. Maybe auctions are the best way to sell a car?

market has continually been getting better for about 9 months now. pretty dang hot right now. if a 430 manual goes for $180-250k, then why not Scuds. I will always put a F1 Scud > 430 Manual.

The premium for gated 430 over scud is largely due to the fact nearly 10x the amount of Scuds were produced compared to F430 manual for USA Market, classic supply and demand...
A late model 2008-09 factory 6 speed F430 is the ticket imho

where are you getting these numbers? USA based? I believe total production there were around 1,500 manuals and 2,000 Scuds. you are right there are more Scuds than manuals.

Great looking scud. I last saw the car go thru Goodings Auction in Pebble Beach a couple years ago. Sold for $165k which I thought was
pretty cheep. Plus the 10% fee.. I already have a Blanco scud or I would have bought it then. Enjoy the car.
