So Sunday it was perfect weather here in Atlanta ( for a change ) and I took the 599 out to my Stretch Lab appointment which is in a shopping center... so I'm pulling in and wham!!! i hit the yellow parking bollard or kerb what ever you call those things... cracked the bottom of the spoiler... OUCH! its not that noticeable but it just is so hard to judge the distance...

Any tricks or aftermarket sensor to put there? this is not the first time its happened.... but PO's! Me.

So when I got home I used some Vinyl tape to cover the small scratch on the underside and just put a longer one to Cushion the future blows!

Sorry to hear. I thought all 599s came with front sensors and the rears were options....

DAMN! I stay away from those. The car is sooooo looooowwwww in the front. Not sure what to do about it other than avoid or back into spots.
    Sorry to hear about this.

Negative. I wish I had front sensors for this very reason.

I do have parking sensors, and they are a bit spotty but when they are working they detect the curbs. Don't worry about it. If it is only scratches, it will get fixed when you respray the nose. If it cracked, it can be fixed when you do a respray; just have them take it off and fix the fiberglass. None of it is that difficult. It is frustrating and it makes you feel stupid but it isn't a major issue.

Tom- I did that with a brand new 08 7 liter Z06 Corvette with less than 50 miles, so do not feel too badly. On the Z06, though, I just put on a new spoiler which was pretty inexpensive. Not quite as simple on a Ferrari.

In college I over-road a parking block and one of the two large bolts was sticking up high enough to grab my control arm. When I backed out my wheel was side-ways and I probably had about 10 degrees of toe-in....Cosmetic damage is not too fun either.

When we did trips to Florida and Arizona in my 612, SOP was for my wife to get out and watch as I pulled into such spaces (I have the rear camera). That's why when I bought my FF, a front camera was a must have option.

I think it's a little bit more touchy to use the air conditioning with the screen, do you ?
