Pretty surprised Maranello managed to make that large a mistake, would be pretty upset if I were the owner (although I think the result worked out in their favour), if you don't mind me asking how did you find out about that? An interesting story for sure.
Ferrari made a last minute executive decision... Said nah... Gold it is. Probably said: "He likes it and buys it or somebody else will".
When the 2008 Scuderia was introduced one client ordered Rosso Mugello with gold dual stripes and gold wheels. He got the first car at his dealership. They were in great demand and commanded a premium price. His Scud arrived with silver stripes. BIG problem and both the dealership and FNA wouldn't do anything about it. So the buyer took the Scud home and immediately flipped his car to a used car dealer. He cut out the Ferrari dealership in the transaction and swore he would never buy another Ferrari. FNA was also unhappy a non authorized Ferrari dealer had one of their hot Scud cars to sell...
Never thought I would remotely like/own a "purplish" colored car until I saw one in person - also a Pista, HK Viola, sans the yellow accents. The HK Viola is captivating and hard to look away from.
I like the stripe combo on this car which appears for sale at over 500 thousand U.S; however the previous owner over speced in my opinion. With the red wheels and full red interior looks too busy. These cars tend to sit unsold for a long time. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks strange without the stripe. This is the first time I have see a Pista without it's distinctive stripe. You can tell it is missing something. Certainly does not look bad, just different. I like it but I am not sure I like it more like this. I would have to stare are it some more and I will probably end up liking it.
