    Nope.
All the talking heads thought he was chasing a ring, he won't come close to that in AZ.

Hopkins was recruiting the hell out of him. Watts 32 y/o is damaged goods too much mileage on those tires. His silver lining is suiting up across a healthy Chandler Jones. The opposing offense has to decide who to double team? Potential career resurgence for Watts but dont expect an All-Pro campaign as that would be a pleasant surprise.

Falcons even if they draft a QB1 in the first round can still compete with Ryan in NFC South. No Brees is a bonus. Bridgewater not a QB1. Defenses can figure out Brady and TB with one season of tape.

Ryan or Watson with SF would be compelling. Niners gonna get all their injured players back.

I thought I read that Jones was a free agent or due big dough soon. Gotta look that up. At any rate, that would be a good pairing...T

Chandler will is in the final year of his 5 year/$82.5 million contract. He becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2022.

Also worth pointing out Vance Joseph Cardinals' defensive coordinator was Texans' DB coach during Watts' first few years in league and runs a similar scheme to Wade Phillips per ESPN

Brees may not retire? Or Saints will be competitive with Winston?

Brees hasn't said he will retire. There is all this talk about it, but he has been silent.

Amen! I hate when politicians get so involved with things having nothing to do with what they are supposed be concerned about.

    NFC?
Hell, that NFC West Division alone!

Do you have anything NICE to say about these guys?
Every Conference, every Division has good and not-so-good QB's.

If a defense can figure out Brady he wouldn't have seven rings, AND,
the QB's that Brady is going up against can be figured out as well, and they have.
It's not just Brady being Brady, Peyton did the same thing when he bailed on a crappy
Indy team and went to Denver, which is the same as Brady going to Tampa Bay.

Peyton didn't bail on the Colts, the Colts bailed on Peyton. If he wanted to play football he didn't have a choice but to change teams. The Colts had the #1 draft pick and they owed Peyton a huge bonus if they didn't release him. I think it was the druggie owner who made the decision.

Are you drunk? I'm agreeing with AceMaster that Matt Ryan can still be a playoff QB. That's saying something NICE isn't it?

What kind of revisionist history are you living in where Peyton bailed on the Colts? The Colts knew they were drafting a generational QB in Andrew Luck it made absolutely no sense for them to keep Manning and pay his roster bonus.

If you think Winston or Hill can duplicate Brees' success you don't know football.

If you think Bridgewater can be a playoff QB1 good luck.

Brady won in large part because his defense balled out and he didn't make mistakes. 44 y/o Brady is not the same QB as he was 5-10 years ago.

Where in the f*ck did I say those guys could duplicate Brees success? I didn't, but they can win some games.
They got lucky with Luck, but he's gone.
The Chargers drafted a 'generational' QB when they drafted Ryan Leaf, too, the facts are you
really had no idea even five years ago if your high draft picks would pan out, today it's a little
different, with 90% of the colleges running pro-style offenses.
Bridgewater has and can win games, I never said he was an all-pro.

Baltimore won a SB with a QB nobody heard of, there are all kinds of 'game managers' capable of winning
games for teams, and there are a handful of QB's you could plug into TB besides Brady and they probably
still would have won, but we will never know, all we can do is hypothesize.
I also never said Brady was the same QB he was 5-10 years ago, but I DID say there are a lot of
good and not-so-good QB's in the league, I don't know if there are any that downright SUCK, and
we could not say that 5-10 years ago.

The biggest reason was Andrew Luck. They thought they could replace Manning with Luck, and couldn't pass up on that offer. Turns out they were wrong.

This is exactly right - I should have read on before I posted LOL

    Agree

    Also agree

Big time agree. Brady got far too much credit for this year's SB win, when the fact of the matter is the defense won that SB. As I said previously, Brady made the throws he had to make, and didn't make any mistakes, but if anyone thinks Brady was going to win in a shootout they are dead wrong...or even win without an elite defensive performance, they are dead wrong - look no further than 5 weeks prior to the SB in the TB-KC game where it was over before the midway point of the 1st quarter.

Compete - maybe - but they won't win much without a defense.
Matty Ice can't always get them 45 points every game.

The facts are, nobody knows for sure.
KC's offense has not exactly set the world on fire the last 6 games of the season.
KC's offense didn't light the place up in the SB they beat SF in.

I'm not so much a Brady apologist, but the facts are, the guy just wins.
I am not so sure any other QB's could do what he did - with no preseason, and almost no practices with a new team.
N.O. blew them out on week one, by the end of the season TB was figuring things out.

Best thing you said in this entire thread. The refs took care of that for them.
