Is that a concern? I don't use spacers on my Ferrari, but do on my BMWs....one for over 15 years and I periodically recheck torque with a calibrated wrench, and have never experienced any loosening over time/miles. I have had them on my E39 540 M-Sport for over 200,000 miles.
I've always heard you should check torque every 500 miles on high performance cars, which seems like a pain.
Might be internet rumor. I don't even think the spacer manufacturers recommend that. Maybe after installation a recheck is in order, but that is all. My BMW is a daily driver, so I recheck torque within a couple hundred miles anytime the wheels come off, even on my Ferrari that does not have spacers. Then, I recheck wheel bolt torque on my BMW at every oil and filter change (7500 miles). I have never experienced any loosening with spacers...(I prefer the H&R brand). BTW, I can proudly say my BMW with M62TU engine has over 321,500 miles as of today, never been rebuilt...just oil and filter changes every 7500 miles since new.

Apologies on reviving an old thread, but I just put 599 Challenge wheels on my 06 612 and had a question/issue @danmano & jochem00 - Did you put the spacers on for appearance only, or was there a performance reason? The reason I'm asking is that after putting on the Challenge wheels, I did a long cross-country drive. It could've been due to driving on less-than-perfect roads and windy conditions, but for some reason, the car didn't seem to handle as well at high speeds. It felt like I was working to drive the car, almost like the rear was pushing the front around. I hadn't done a long drive on the original wheels in about a year, so maybe I'm not remembering the drive, but it just felt a little off to me. Almost like the car was uneasy. Is it possible I need the spacers to give the car a wider stance at the rear? I'm running Pilot Sport summer tires, whereas the other tires were Pilot Sport all-season, so I don't think the tires are throwing me off. I'm hoping someone with experience in the 599 challenge wheels can offer some insight.
What size tires are you running on the challenge rims. The 612 Challenge rims are 8J front 10J rear, while the 599 is 8J front, 11J rear, so if you are running 305 or 315 on the rear you have changed the balance quite a bit towards oversteer from the standard setup. A good alignment may be in order. I run GTC4Lusso rims with a different offset from 612 standard, the net effect of which is approx a 20mm spacer. The larger rear wheels will actually tend to make her understeer rather than oversteer from better traction/cornering power at the rear. I do agree that a suspension alignment is probably in order. Spacers will not do much that is noticeable in normal, not track, driving, except possibly looking better.
Thank you for the replies @LondonParis & @tazandjan. Here are the tires I put on after doing a lot of reading through the forum. Front: MICH PILOT SPORT 4S 245/35R20 95(Y) XL BW ULTRA HIGH PERFORMANCE Rear: MICH PILOT SPORT 4S 285/35R20 104(Y) XL BW ULTRA HIGH PERFORMANCE It seems to drive straight, just at speed something feels uncomfortably off. If you guess think an alignment might do the trick, I'll schedule it. Side note - when I got the tires installed on the wheels, the shop was out of TPMS sensors that would work. I took a shot and picked up some Autel MX sensors because I was in a time crunch and had to leave out of town the following day. Back home now and trying to program them to the car with an Autel TPMS program took, and running into an issue. The tool has the 612 listed as an option, though when I plug it into the port and try to upload the SN's I keep getting an error on the Autel saying something along the lines of "Error entering system". Any ideas?

Thank you for the link. I'll get the car on a lift and take a look at them for wear. I'm thinking I'll heed the advice and get an alignment done with the new wheels and see if that helps. I don't remember it ever feeling unstable prior to the wheel change. So hopefully thats it, because as much as I like the modular wheels it came with, the challange ones just fit the classic look of the car.
