    Hello,

I am looking to send my gauge cluster to get repaired (LCD flickering a bit and backlight of dials went out), but I would like to know if someone could help with instructions on how to remove it without breaking things.

    Any help is much appreciated.

Not sure where you are located but that is a big job. Personally I would use a shop to do that

Big job... small job... all a matter of perspective.

Anyway, this from the workshop manual:

    To remove dashboard covering dome:
    - remove steering column cover
    - remove drivers' airbag
    - remove steering wheel
    - remove F1 paddles if fitted
    - remove "steering wheel levers" (the indicator/wiper stalks I assume)
    - do all that and you can get to two screws holding the dome in place
    - move it slightly to undo the two wiring connectors

Once you have the dome off, it should be straightforward to detach the gauge cluster.

Update: This was criminally easy, only had to do the first step on that list. Here's how I did it

    1) Adjust the steering wheel all the way down
    2) Remove the bottom cover of the steering wheel column (2 phillipsscrews up front and one small nut in the middle, you access all of them from the bottom of the column
    3) After removing the bottom of the column cover (it only "clips" to the top of the cover), you will see 2 phillips screws that are perpendicular to the floor of the car. You can see them more clearly after flipping the top of the steering column cover upwards (the top of the steering wheel column is attached to the gauge cluster by the leather.
    4) Once the 2 screws are removed, the gauge cluster is free. I popped the left side toward me, then the right until it came free enough to easily unplug it from the dashboard.
