LOL My uncle then proceeded to replace the M3 with a town car! I guess the thieves stole his taste in cars too.

I am sorry I have not had the time to respond to everyone. Between work and the kids activities, I was also planning my Grandfather's 100th birthday party in Parkersburg, WVA, which is about 150 miles away from me. It actually made both the paper and the local TV news. He was real excited. What a GREAT day! Anyway, now is time for catch up. Before I start, Thanks to everyone for taking the time to look at and comment on my cars. I greatly appreciate it. This site is the best!

I am sorry to hear this. I was hoping it would be nice enough for you to purchase. If I see a nice one become available, I will let you know. They pop up every now and then. They are really cool cars.

Thanks for looking. The Escort GT Turbo is the one that stumps everyone. No one knows about that car. The 81 Capris were nice, fun cars. I forget what they called it, but I really liked the black and gold special editions. They were beautiful. Edit: They were called Black Magic Capris.

You are right. I am totally blown away at the interest my cars have created on this site. I never thought Ferrari guys would be interested in my cars. I am totally blown away.

Thanks. Thanks to my Dad, I had quite a few cars back then. He always wanted to help me get good looking dates, so he got me the cool cars of the day. I think he was living through me vicariously.LOL As for driving them, as you said, I do not drive the 85 mile car. Other than that one though, I drive them all when I get a chance. I have 3 small children though, and my cars are not that receptive to car seats, but whenever I go somewhere without them, I always drive one of them. But, combine this with the fact that winter/salt season is five months long here, I have a limited amount of time to drive them. What I do is write down in a notebook every time I drive one, and I rotate the cars so that they all get some exercise every year. Each car usually gets driven 100-200 miles a year, depending on the weather.

The storage space helps, but it has a habit of disappearing. I always seem to find something to fill the space.LOL

Thanks. What Fords do you own?

It is amazing how the years fly by. I had a huge case of depression when the cars I drove in High School and college became eligible for historic plates. (25 yrs old or older)LOL

I loved the GTIs and the Scirroccos of the day. They were awesome.

I actually did own a Tempo. I think it set a world record for the shortest owned car in history. On my first day of night law school, I went to the Ford dealer and bought a brand new Tempo (red/ gray also). My Dad and I brought it home at 3:30 in the afternoon. My Mom came out to look at it. She said it was nice. About an hour later, I was getting ready to go to my first night at law school, and I heard my Dad downstairs ranting "I don't believe it, I just don't believe it!!!" I yelled downstairs "what was wrong?" Here, my Mom back her Ford pickup truck (with trailer hitch!) right into the Tempo's front end. She totally forgot it was there. My Dad was sooooo mad. He took the Tempo back right then and traded it in on a 92 black Escort GT. I owned that Tempo for about an hour and a half!LOL

Thanks for looking. Reliving high school and college memories are what these cars are all about.

I hate to hear stories of these cars being wrecked and such, but that's what happens sometimes.

I promise I will post any additions. I am running out of space, though. I am getting to the point that in order to buy one, I'll have to sell one.

If you ever decide to buy one, let me know and I will keep an eye out for one. Nice ones are still out there, although they are becoming more rare. In my opinion, for what you get, they are stupid cheap right now.

They are a blast. People don't realize that the Probe GTs are just about as fast as the Mustang GTs of the day after about 5-10 MPH, thus negating the turbo lag. And talk about stupid cheap, they almost literally give these cars away.

Like the Ford love. Is it hard to choose between the R and the Boss?

The R and the LS both achieve the same thing in very different ways.

The R is raw power, no sound deadening, you hear and feel everything, from the side exhaust under your door to the small rocks hitting the inside of the wheel wells.

The Boss is equal to if not a bit better than the R, but with all the creature comforts of ac, radio, etc. It is obviously much more refined, but gets out on the track and eats up the corners and uses the torque to come out of the apex much the same way the R does.

Cool to hear, I hoped the Boss would be close to the R, but a completely different experience. The Mustang has come a long way.

Awesome collection! They all sound really nice. I love the teal 93 Cobra. Great color. Probably my favorite would be the Marauder. I love different stuff. Once again, great cars and congratulations.

I love the Ford love too. I never dreamed there would be that much overlap interest between Ferrari and Ford.

I made a few additions to my collection late last Fall. I am just getting around to posting some pictures. First off is a 93 Mustang Cobra, all original, including paint and tires, with 3,900 miles. It came with the original window sticker and Bill of Sale and a ton of other documentation and paperwork.

Next is a 93 Yellow/Black "Feature Car" Mustang 5-speed. It is all original, including paint and tires, with 3,200 miles. It has all documentation, including original window sticker (still in window), Bill of Sale, original plates, and more. Like my 7-UP car, this car is an air conditioning delete car, which is pretty uncommon with these feature cars. Most feature cars are fully optioned cars. Both cars are from Oregon/Washington state, which cool climate might explain why these cars don't have air.

Last is an 87 Mercedes 190e 16v. It has 52,000 original miles. It has all the original paperwork, including the window sticker and Bill of Sale. The original owner traded in a 77 450SL on it. He got $11,000 trade in value for it. I love the history of these cars.

Sorry, I forgot, there is one more. It's an all original, including paint and tires, 85 Mustang GT 5-speed with 14,000 original miles. It was a "VIP" car, which means the assembly line took extra care on the quality of the fit and finish of this car. It was ordered by a Ford engineer, and they let him follow the car down the assembly line. He took pictures of it being built all the way down the line. He also kept a written diary of everything that happened while it was being built, things like whether the line workers were careful or not and so forth. It still has the VIP badge, a used paint can lid with VIP painted on it (spare no expense LOL), that they hung on the radiator support to ID it as a VIP car. Obviously, the documentation on this car is mind blowing, including original window sticker and Bill of Sale. The paint quality far exceeds other non-VIP 85 Mustangs. Goes to show what quality Detroit can produce if properly motivated. It is the only 85 Mustang with factory pin stripping, stone guard rocker paint, and a factory installed 140MPH speedometer from the SSP police parts bin.

Cool thread and nice collection of Mustangs as I have always been a fan. Matter of fact my dad has been doing a lot of purging of material items over the past year and he is giving me a set of 302 heads that he had ported/polished with I believe a either 3 or 5 angel valve job so basically they are racing heads. He was a Ford mechanic for almost 30yrs and never got around to putting them on the 302 in his '74 Bronco.

I have been looking around for Fox Body Mustangs just researching the market for fun. My plan is to build a short/long block around these heads for a turbo application but I am still learning and in no rush.

    Great thread...thanks.

Man, what a cool thread. I've been a Mustang fan since I was a kid, hence my user name. And regrettably sold an M car. You have a TON of cool cars! I'd love to get my hands on an unmolested fox body one of these days. Hopefully a teal 93 Cobra!

Heh, the Escorts are messing with my eyes because they use the same doors as the UK Ford Escort, but the rest of the panels are different (except maybe the front wings?). It looks like someone has tried to trace what I recognise as an Escort and shifted the paper half way through.

    Lovely cars you have there.

My good friend had an '85 also during HS. A slightly modified silver one. Man was that a fun car. I remembered he shortened the shift so he could have quicker shifts. Fun and great memories!
