For what it’s worth, this is strictly my own worthless 2 cents but I saw the car in the flesh for the first time today. Maybe it’s because of the spec, but I actually found the car a bit underwhelming in person after being very excited to see it. It just didn’t have a distinctive “Ferrari feel”, didn’t feel cohesive to my eyes but a homologation of various design elements pushed together. Without the Cavallino badges, I could have been convinced it’s a mclaren or Lamborghini with my eyes squinting. It could be that I'm just used to the existing designs of the last gen from Pininfarina and Manzoni's 812/Lusso/488 gen, and once more new Ferrari designs come out this will look more "Ferrari."

I’m sure it’s a hell of an experience, and congrats to all the lucky owners don’t mean to detract from your enjoyment! YMMV.

The new Blu TdF with silver calipers 'very corporate' looking! There is also a Rosso Corsa with a black roof SF90 to that is here now in NJ. Thanks for the pictures!

I think the colour has,a lot to do with it. Blu TdF is beautiful, but extremely sedate. It has that effect for me whether I see it on a 355, 458 or that SF90.

Would be interesting to see if a different and more vibrant colour would change your mind.

Ok so I am not the only one who thinks blue TDF Ferraris look sedate in person.
Blue TDF cars look great in pictures but every time I have seen them in person the experience has been a bit meh. I have seen 550s, 430s, Challenge Stradales etc. in Blue TDF. They all look amazing in pictures but in real life, to me, they all looked a bit dull. I used to think that there is something wrong with me but good to know that I am not the only one with this opinion :D

If TDF gets dirty it can look dull. Great pics and write ups! I think the SF90 design is tricky to photograph from the side because its easy to lose the part of the front that protrudes forward- losing this changes the way you see the proportions.

I saw an SF90 in the flesh for the first time today, specc’d in that new brilliant white color. I thought the car was beautiful, in fact very striking in appearance. The engine looks amazing and insanely low in the chassis. The car looks like a supercar in every sense of the word.

Sounds exciting; did that white SF90 have a red interior?

No, for me this is where things went wonky....white interior with yellow accents...also white roof. But overall, I did love the car’s design.

I hear you; but to me white on white screams Florida! Interesting build specification, thanks.

I must have just missed you. Saw it too... talked to Matt about spec’ing next car, saw my F8 spider for the first time, and scheduled details on other cars. The white/white wasn’t for me but a lot of the rest of the car was cool to see and I’ve got to say, much better looking in person than I expected. I still think the spider cleans up some of the rear end nicely and prefer it over the coupe though.

It's a beautiful machine. Loaded with technology and sex appeal....however, the tail lights look like they came out of the new C8 Corvette parts bin.

Actually, the designers of the C8 specifically said their design inspiration was the 458 Italia although, in my view, the Corvette tries too hard. Perhaps it was the rectangular shape I was referring to which is a design departure by Maranello. And yes, this American is quite funny. Quite cheeky...

    I agree.

The car looks great from certain angles and less so from others. Front 3/4 view? Neat! Profile? Great!

But some elements seem almost random.

At the risk of being ridiculed by the Euro Avenger, I’ll go one further than the Corvette commenter and say the taillights actually look more late-model CAMARO.

Maybe I’m an old fashioned guy, but you know Ferrari taillights when you see them. The more frequent and seemingly haphazard departures in design language of elements that used to be characterizing of the marque, the more Ferraris start to resemble video-game parodies of fake-futurist Ferraris. Lamborghini seems to have more design continuity these days from model to model, year to year than Ferrari.

I would love to hear Dottore di Montezemolo’s take on the state of things.

Many of the cars look great, but some of them look like the work of a talented CAD prodigy in Hungary who wants to design EV hypercars when he gets out of school.

    And the instrumentation!!!

I used to think the superfluous Cavalino badges were the height of garishness. Well, look at the Playstation speedos of these new cars and you’ll long for the days when overly enthusiastic clienti paid the dealership a little bit extra to make sure people wouldn’t walk by without noticing they were in the presence of a Ferrari.

I once saw a turquoise GT with literal gold-plated trim [read: The Gulf] during a factory visit, and watched as the staff smiled to each other when I said the equivalent of “Holy hell!” in Italian.

I wonder what some of them are saying now. Were Veglia Borletti some how deficient? Has Playstation kill Ferrari’s cockpit design?!
