I am having a hell of a time getting the fitting into the forward spark plug holes for the compression test. I am going as far as devising a long 6 inch adapter to screw into the hole (got that), but still can't get the hose and test gauge on to the adapter. There is not a lot of space and making the hose bend at the perfect angle is tough.

    What do you do?

Hmmm - depends on the tester, I guess. I did a comp test on my 328 a few years ago and didn't have any trouble fitting the comp gauge with some suitable adapters that came with it. That was a Snap-On gauge but I would expect other gauges to have the same sort of adapters/fittings.

I was able to fit the long hose into the holes but it really is not the best experience. I need to find a different solution.
