My man, the inside hub pads should be stamped with offset and widths. Much easier and relatable to folks than all of those measurements.

Here’s how to break the numbers down on the older HRE (imo better) 3pc stuff with a set I had by example:

    Front •
    Positive +28 offset
    6.5” inner barrel
    1.5” outer lip.
    (18”x8” with +28)

    Rear •
    Positive +41 offset
    7.5” inner barrel
    2.5” outer lip
    (18”x10” +41)

Good luck with the sale, beautiful set.

Thanks for your great insight Carbonsmith. I wish it was that simple in my case.
I've actually known the car since 2004 which had the HRE's on then.
When I purchased the car in June of 2012, the first thing I did was to toss the old Pirelli 355-25-19's and the 255-35-19's the car was running. They were way out of date and as it turned out the 355's were no longer available from Pirelli, so based on Taz's recommendations here on F-chat, I converted over to MPSS.
Looking at the stampings and not being able to make sense of them at that time, I called Vince Borja who was running the HRE Service Dept.
He also gave me the coding which obviously did not line up since I knew I had 19's not 18's.
He said if a set centers had been stamped with the code for a set of 18" x 10" Straight Lip wheels with 8" inner barrels and 2" outer lips those numbers would coincide but somewhere in the assembly process someone must have changed the spec from an 18" Straight Lip to a 19" Step Lip in addition to the inner barrel and outer lip dimensions to end up with set of 12" Rear and 8.5" Front x 19" wheels.
When I posted the wheels for sale, I wanted to show a close up of how clean the wheels are.
Knowing someone with a keen eye such as yours would pick up on the HRE Code, I hard measured everything myself and backed it up by using one of the Wheel Offset/Backspace Calculators on the internet.
At the risk of putting a lot of superfluous info into the Specs, I wanted to make absolutely sure I represented the wheels in the most accurate way I could.
Thanks for the great info. Good stuff for a lot of F-Chatters!

Yes, those would fit great. These would look fantastic on a 430. Compared to your Stock setup you would end up with:

    Front + 3.5mm of poke
    Rear - 1.5mm (offset in)

You certainly won’t need spacers, but I’m picky and I probably would add a 10mm up front & 15mm rear to balance everything. With the 5mm thicker rear spacer, you would then end up with a result of :

    Front + 13.5mm of poke
    Rear + 13.5mm of poke

    Cheers,

    Steve

hey follow up requested - would you mind sending a pic of your set up with these wheels? I'm thinking about getting a set of these, although they are discontinued...
I know someone who has a set and wants to sell - just not sure how they'd look
    thanks

Thanks! It gets it’s share of compliments. Maybe because it’s a little different.
