Oh thank you for that. That is interesting.

i am writing these pages up from a selection of chinese whispers and trying to translate info that isn't always that clear.

When we first built our Borrani web site we used the Borrani literature that was around at the time.

Borrani had done a great job of shuffling what they had together, from the state that Borrani had become at the time, when the current management took over. and they did a great job to start off with. However since then as we have come accross more accurate data, and i am trying to record everything we learn on our web site, in the hope to make www.borrani.com actually accurate. So i genuinely value stuff i get back from you guys on Ferrarichat.

In some comunication we have had with Borrani they have told us that the 250 GTO did not fit the RW3801 as a factory fitment. Borrani said that because the RW3801 was a more comon wheel (250 Lusso, 330 America) and because it is that 1/2" wider it ended up on the front of some 250GTO.

When we first built our page, because some of this early literature from Borrani, we did initially list the RW3801 on that page as an OE wheel, but we were informed by Borrani that it wasdn't correct, even though it is a wheel that can be fitted onto a GTO.

If you ar sure about that RW3715 being the rear tyre of the Series 1 GTO i will re write that page.

MiuraSV i would like to thank you for your contribution over the years. I know i have made several adjustments to my web pages based on stuff i have learned from you.

Do bear in mind that if a Series 1 62/63 250 GTO owner wants to go back from the 7.5" wide RW 3808 wheels to the original 6.5" wide RW 3715 wheels, or if Ferrari Classiche insist on it for certification, the bodywork may also have to be altered to original, as it may have been flared out for the 7.5" wide wheels.

Canossa has zero to do with logistiocs. That is an event organiser.
For logistics you should consult Cosdel in San Francisco (Martin Button) and others.

That's much better. I know it's mostly private but at least we can catch some glimpse of them driving in between events.
