Engine replacement? Or engine rebuild?. If the former, as long as the work was done at Ferrari and documented I don’t think it’s a big deal. It’s a 7 year newer engine than the one in mine.

It was replaced in 2011 at Algar. Fully documented. There was an fchatter a few years ago who somehow got hold of the original engine and was selling in the parts section. Thanks.

Is there any way to verify that the replacement engine was in fact a CS? Documentation as such? Sure, it will always be valued less, but how long will you be keeping the car? I do think your $170k value estimate is spot on in today's market. Drive the snot out of it and you can hardly depreciate it further.

I'm looking to buy a low mileage CS with factory stripe. Not much out there right now. A garage queen with 2200 miles but aftermarket stripe. If anyone knows of a good one I'm ready.

Why are Stradale prices stuck? Seems like all other collectibles are skyrocketing. Given its limited production, I’m surprised to see them so stagnant in pricing.

    Example - 993 WB’s & gated 355’s have shot up immensely.

    Stradale’s next?

I read an article where they measured brands by search results from the past decade and Ferrari was one of them that was on the decline. Maybe that’s the reason?

With the younger crowd buying into crypto’s and making money on Instagram, they usually draw towards Lamborghini, McLaren, Porsche etc. I can be completely wrong with my assessment but that would be my guess

The fact that they don't have the manual transmission is a negative.

By the way, no one is certain how may were made. the number in the Cavallino magazine (378) is often stated as too little.

I’m not sure enough stradales trade hands to state they prices are stuck.

As for how many were made...... even more important is how many have survived to this day. Lots were wrecked and totaled. Especially when they first came out.

No other Ferrari's V8 come close to the Challenge Stradale in term of handling and sound... just ask what an owner of the 4 think... performance is a thing, pur pleasure is something else ! So from my point of view, the CS value should and will increase.

I’ve never heard anyone say that they don’t want a Challenge Stradale because it doesn’t have a manual transmission. LOL

It sounds a bit more restricted yet deeper than mine. I have my valves on a switch and it has transformed the car, allowing for the trumpet sounds to emanate everywhere rather than only in a small zone.
Also, hard to tell how recorded ,etc. But yes, in general this is the stock sound.
