whats with the first 380 stations being non HD? do I need an upgrade of some sort?
I believe that's just how xfinity does it. Not sure what the exact channel range is, but the first few hundred are standard-def and the later few hundred are HD versions. If you select a standard-def channel a prompt immediately pops up asking if you want to switch to the HD channel, if it's available. I don't actually have xfinity my parents do, that's how I've noticed they work.
I'm in SE FL and it's the same here. It used to be everything over channel 400 was HD but they've taken some of the channels in the high 300's also. It'll autotune to HD if you select a non-HD channel. Provided of course you're paying for the HD.
