Now THAT is a small (and beautiful) car! Sad you are selling your 550. But maybe you will buy it back later as I did… Markus
I also changed the potentiometer. And the throttle valve twice. It did not feel nervous at the end and was running quite smooth. But a Maranello is such a better car… Although I already miss my 3200. It is such a beautiful car. Markus
Normally changing both gas pedal potentiometer and throttle valve potentiometer for contactless magnetic ones does the trick, but in my case it just did not work. The tech guy (forgot his name, Dave?) on the British Maserati forum even designed an extra resistance for me to put between the loom and the contactless gas pedal pot meter he fabricates, but that did not help unfortunately. And the Dutch inventor of the throttle valve contactless pot meter himself recalibrated my throttle valve , but that did not help either. So something else was not 100% ok, never found out what...maybe in the wiring or so.. From idle to full throttle in 2 mm of pedal travel was quite exiting! Anyway, congrats on the return to the Maranello!
It turns out this thread is dedicated to the 3200 and less to the 575M To keep the balance here a pic of both (my 575M and a friends 3200). Markus Image Unavailable, Please Login
