Hello! I’m new to this forum and not currently a Ferrari owner. I’m interest in purchasing a 2010 California GT model. I have heard in the past to go a couple years newer...due to the fact that the later cars had significant improvements. Please give me your thoughts as I’m a newbie.

Thank you. It seems inventory is low on 2012-2014 California’s right now. A friend (in the exotic car business) suggested I wait until late summer. He said due to low inventory, prices are inflated for this particular model. I’m hoping to find the prefect one by October for my birthday! [emoji3]

Per F-chat lore, the best deals on drop top Ferrari are in winter, which is now past.

I would advise (1) get the newest year you can reasonably afford, (2) do not forget to include costs of maintenance, gas and upkeep in your calculations. Best of luck...T

Due to research, I will be purchasing 2012 or newer. I’ve been told the 2009-2012 had some transmission issues. Color preference Red Exterior & Tan Interior. The vehicle will not be my daily driver as I’m currently in a G wagon & X6M.

Also use the search box in the upper right hand corner. There's a lot of information on FerrariChat regarding the features, problems and fixes for the California.
