Hello all, As a general car enthusiast I went from Vw bugs to Audis then to 911s via BMWs. Ferraris were always untouchable exotica in my youth but as time marches on they appear more viable. A 456 is too small due to being 6ft 7 and 270lb. Hours on the net leads me to the belief that an FF or a 612 have the most headroom, can a tall driver fit in a 612 with no pan roof? Many thanks and apologies for my first post being an ask rather than contribution.
I’m 6’3” with long torso and have several inches of headroom to spare in 612. I would think you’d still not touch at 6’7”
That is a very nice first post and well thought out. Welcome to the contributing side of the game. And Marc, great photo/response.
welcome to FC Fantastic photo Don't think about it too much just do it, you can't get time back. You have no control on Time BUT in a Ferrari you can cover a lot of distances in that time wish you all the best and as soon as you score it please send us pictures, also have a look at the 599 also plenty of headroom Good Luck
Peter, Here is the thread you want to read before you buy an FF https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/ff-ptu-design-flaw.605529/page-10#post-147013856
I agree that people spend way too much time driving their keyboard and worrying about getting the "perfect" car. They lose WAY more value and fun by not driving the car. Remember, what you think is perfect today will be different tomorrow so get a car and enjoy life. I am 6'6" with about a 35" inseam. In the 599 it is a snug fit. You have to fiddle a bit to get the seat into a usable position so that the integral roll bar doesn't hit your head. There would be zero room for a helmet. Don't get me wrong, I love the car and I do fit but taller would require changes to the stock seat setup. I am only 205 but there is plenty of room for that dimension; that is true in most Ferrari's.
6'7" here! My 612 fits like a glove. Way better as 456 or 550. Verstuurd vanaf mijn J9210 met Tapatalk
I have both a 612 and a FF. You should definitely fit in both, but in the 612 it is unlikely no one but the smallest child could sit in the seat behind you. I'm only 5'10" but I like my seat well back. If I have an adult behind me I have to move the seat up to a closer position. On the FF I don't have to do that. A neat feature of the FF is when someone sits in the back and you fold the front seat back, as it goes back as soon as it touches the knees of the rear seat person, it stops and moves forward a little. On the 612 the front seat will crush their kneecaps.
Forgot to say, it is absolute impossible to sit behind me. Not even your flat hand fits between the backseat and the rear of my seat. Before the 612 I had a 360. That car fitted suprisingly well. Verstuurd vanaf mijn J9210 met Tapatalk
Thanks all for the fantastic responses, the FF PTU issue reminds me of the 911 IMS issue. Both issues have a life of their own on the net. Agree with the warning about analysis paralysis, how ever I’m not too precious about colour, wheels, options, number of owners, age. I just want a Ferrari! (Am concerned about maintenance though) Will report back. Due to the above I’m convinced a 612 or FF will suit.
I'm Dutch and I live below sea level. I would not be able to breath if I was smaller. Verstuurd vanaf mijn J9210 met Tapatalk
So did Martin Garrix and Max Vers. grow up above sea level?! [emoji6] Sent from my LG-H820 using FerrariChat.com mobile app

Collected 612 this morning, wow, wow, wow. Best car I have ever driven. Fitted in fine. Life is too short.
