Actually I didn't The race officials pointed out that turn 4 would get the driver's time deleted if they left the track in qualifying but during the race they "allowed" a certain number of times the drivers could exceed track limits before getting a black flag and also they couldn't leave the track to gain an advantage in passing which is why Max gave the spot back I typed it slow for you this time
Ok....then if you didn't contradict yourself, you were just too dumb to get the point of my initial post on the subject. Thinking about it, that's actually more likely.
You probably read this : https://www.news.com.au/sport/motorsport/formula-one/damning-lewis-hamilton-video-proves-max-verstappen-was-robbed-at-bahrain-gp/news-story/79c7fee99edf17729c371d871ed06aea which just adds to the confusion of the commentary from Sky Changing the rules during the race is stupid if that's what happened, Max was dudded
It was not as simple as an advantage, it was simply you can't pass someone when you go off the track limits to make the pass & that is exactly what Verstappen did, this has always been the case where you have to hand back the place/pass. I thought it was a good race, it augers well for some close racing this season between at least two different marques.
Not anyone in particular Pete, just stating the rules & my opinion on the pass/incident but probs more John in hindsight

Sadly, the story doesn't explain the real reason behind Daniel lack of pace and finishing behind Norris. Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date
