330 LMB for sale at FoBH

Couldn't part of it be the way the body was pulled off the car and then re fitted incorrectly lower than original thus causing the bump on the engine cover(hood). Something is off about this cars body as it sits to low. So to make it correct it will have to be taken apart again, heavily modified and restored again. This originally was the best looking 330LMB IMO with the sleek smooth press conference and Sebring 1963 original tail.

The article is in error. 4453 was the Le Mans Test Days car, and was the first car to exceed 300 kph on the Mulsanne.

If in Le Mans 1963 configuration: Missing bug deflector, incorrect white race number roundels, wrong fonts for race number, wiper, etc.

Placement of Ferrari shield is also different. And I don't see hood straps near base of windshield in 'Enzo' photo. But all items are pretty minor and easily corrected, no?

Bottom pic (bare metal). Look at placement of first light in front of front wheel (below headlight, not orange). Compare location to 'Enzo' pic above where it appears to be further back.

Suggest to put that stuff to the replica section, please.

Again:
All Europeans (incl. Swiss) are still totally banned from entering the U.S. (due to Covid).
This has been going on for almost one year now and I don't expect this ban to be lifted anytime soon.
No Cavallino, no Amelia, no FCA, no Monterey, if any of these events actually will happen.

The problem is that there are too many brokers who want to sell the car.
We went very close to buying it but, when our lawyers asked the "alleged" owner for the docs, it logically disappeared.
We are now looking for the owner as we are interested in buying the car

 

This LMB normally lives in a wonderful home in Santa Barbara, CA.
