And so it did.... 90% of the information in the wiring hookup charts in the WSM has now been converted into old-fashioned wiring diagrams... Here's an example.... the ABS/ASR wiring diagram: https://www.dropbox.com/t/ruHKnKKY7a40w906 It will have the usual Ferrari wiring diagram errors .... e.g. according to Ferrari, the power for the right bank engine sensors powers the mirror heat (highly unlikely). I usually highlight the error with a "TBC" (to be confirmed) or a question mark.
Engine left bank system: https://www.dropbox.com/t/KULbDkTuvDoJX5mU The WSM doesn't tell you which injectors are which, and unfortunately, the harnesses are sealed. Anyone have a full pinout for the ECUs? To be used in conjunction with the Instrument diagram (now up to version 7) https://www.dropbox.com/t/eDLrYeeuPOYUi3Tw

Ian- Great work. Saved to hard drive. Will have to see about converting the gifs to pdfs. Need to send you some money to help with Dropbox costs.
As you know, Taz, I'm always tweaking the diagrams. Converting them to pdfs kind of freezes the development. Thanks for your kind offer, but for now, I'll stick with the free Dropbox account (with the 6 day limit). I can't justify spending all that money on full account. When the links go dead, people know where to find me . It's no chore reposting and I can get involved with the faultfinding.... which is part of the learning process (and tweaking process).
There are some real faultfinding gems in these wiring diagram. I thought I'd wired up the HVAC diagram incorrectly. The hot water recirculation pump fuse is shown as supplying power to one side of the coil on the AC compressor relay. I rechecked the wiring and it was correct. A blown hot water pump fuse has the potential to stop the AC compressor working.
Here's an updated diagram for the RH engine harness (version 2): https://www.dropbox.com/t/h70iMTmbeNPJWROB I'm not sure what a "pump current LSU" is (in relation to the O2 sensors) and why there are two of them on the downstream sensor, but I've added the labels anyway. Also, the workshop manual shows a mini-graphic with a plus and minus on the throttle motors, but the ECU pinout shows two plusses. I assume the voltage changes polarity when you change a motor's direction. Learning lots of stuff: I didn't realise the F360 MAFs had built-in inlet temperature sensors (as well as airflow sensors). There is a knock sensor for every two cylinders.
The instrument panel/cluster seems to have an excess of inputs and outputs and I'm trying to make sense of them. Perhaps an F360 owner can clarify the following: Does opening the frunk inhibit the wipers or... does operating the wipers stop the frunk opening? If the latter, does it stop the frunk opening at all or does it stop it opening past a certain point? The Owners Manual has this snippet of information: Image Unavailable, Please Login A "lever" inside the frunk sounds mechanical. How is it inhibited by speed? Is this system related to the wiper inhibit (if there is one)? If you use the electric frunk opening button on the centre console, do you still need to use the safety lever to open the frunk all the way? Thanks!
Ian- This is part of the DOT requirement that folks trapped inside the luggage compartment have a way of getting out. Since the luggage compartment is up front, it is not safe for the lid to open above 5 kph, so it just pops up to the catch to allow ventilation for the trapped idiot.
That part makes sense, Taz. It's just how a mechanical lever knows what 5 kph is that confuses me. The text says that the frunk can be fully opened by that idiot lever below 5 kph.
Just a tip on reading my diagrams: The primary wire colour I draw all the way through the connectors. The stripe colour stops at the edge of the connector. Note that the stripe line could be on any side of the wire (right or left, below or above). Or you could just read the colour codes. The first letter is the wire colour. Image Unavailable, Please Login Also, a warning... I don't have an F360 to play on, so I'm not sure on which side of the connectors are pins and on which side are sockets. Don't use the connector graphics to determine which direction the wires go on your car. I started creating a wiring diagram for the immobiliser system, but then I realised that there are just too many black wires attached to the alarm interface unit with no way of figuring out which one goes where. All 6 black wires go to the same connector (16H) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sorry, had to correct the Headlights & Sidelights diagram: https://www.dropbox.com/t/H8XzVKAXEH8ax7P8 I had some rear tail light plugs swapped over.
The wiring pattern seems to be very similar to the 550. Anyway, I created as much of the immobiliser diagram as I could: https://www.dropbox.com/t/sNEv2YurNT8Iro7Z It's interesting to see that one of the power sources for the Immobiliser ECU is the luggage compartment light fuse. Probably not to power the ECU, but to check that the luggage compartment lid switch has power.
Ooops... hooked up the siren to the wrong battery terminal... I'll delete the other link. Version 2.... https://www.dropbox.com/t/cy98PEfmxg6n0V1m
Updated HVAC diagram (version 3) https://www.dropbox.com/t/QBBOcK5CHZIQyfEz I missed some labels on a few critical components. I also added more graphics for easier component identification, some location notes and some internal wiring of components (although I'm not sure of the potentiometer wiring on the hot water "TGK" valve). Can't figure out how to delete old Dropbox links...
On the drop box page, if you click on the preview icon (next to the down arrow icon) it will bring up the drawing and then you can save it as a pdf. Hope this helps.
