One cannot compare an F8 with an 812 SF. Two totally different animals.
Rear engine and front engine is not the same.
F8 is tiny and small, seating position like in a 250 LM. Cabin too small, I think. F8 drives like a blown up go kart. F8 is more noisy/louder, probably because the engine is behind you.
As for an 812 SF one can never have enough power. Never.
812 SF is really a grand tourer with endless punch.
If you DD an 812 SF you don't really need an F8. Nobody wants to go down, everybody wants to go up.

But the F8 is faster. So if you want a slower car, the 812 is perfect! https://fastestlaps.com/comparisons/6dcht5aehj9j

I drove my F8 and an 812 Sf back to back, going up for the drive I fully expected to like the 812 better. Overall the 812 is an impressive car, but if I had to have just one - it would be an F8. The obvious differences, you can feel the weight of the 812, very long nose. The F8 is much more nimble, quicker-yes go kart like but with amazing response in both maneuvering and acceleration. Overall I greatly preferred the driving experience of the F8, however I would certainly like the add an 812 at some point.

I agree with this. I actually love the 812, and if I wanted a second Ferrari, it would be the one I'd purchase.

From your description, the F8 was preferred on every level. Why would you want a 812?

IMHO the car has amazing presence in the flesh, pictures never do it justice. One of the best interiors Ferrari has done recently. Would be a great car for cruising, road trips etc..
    Last NA V12 Ferrari...

However I’d always choose a mid engine car for track use and twisty roads.

    Thank you.

If you’d asked pre-812 I would have said it sounds fine, but today was my first F8 drive post.....

    I think it needs Novitec.

The exhaust note does improve with miles, but I agree still needs an exhaust. Leaning towards Kline myself...

Different cars, though. But agree with mostly said.

I would not call the 812 the slower car. Same 0-60. Both are very quick within their category.

They are both mid engine, the only difference is that the engine is on the front on the 812 and the F8 is on the rear.

What did you tell your technician? Or he just lowered according to a picture or description? Is there an objective measurement to quantify lowering spring length?

BTW what color is this? Doesn't look like Corsa. Not sure if it is the lighting.

If it’s adjustable, like mine is, there really isn’t an objective measurement other the maximum low and high settings. I told him to lower it until it looked good. I have, in the past, took before and after measurements, but I didn’t this go round. But if you’re curious to know my current ride height, I can certainly take some measurements for you.

Couldn't agree more as I owned a 488 GTB at the same time as an F12, and wanted to hear your thoughts which you did very eloquently regarding the difference between the F8 and 812SF. The Front and Mid Engine Cars are so different and each has their own unique personality. I am just wondering if I will miss the V12 (I think I know the answer to that) once my F8 comes in.

I was just asking for future reference. I find it funny that you said to lower until it looked good. That is a bold and risky request. I have been reading and some people refer to fingerbreadths gap between tire and fender, other speak in mm and you now, "until it looks good". With that said, there has got to be an objective way to measure this. I guess when it is my turn, until it looks good (to me) not to them... Don't think I would like nor want a Ferrari Low Rider.
