Gotta love fluorescent dye. Wonder how that happened, heat cycles, poor manufacturing. Luckily it’s not a terrible fix. Funny, I literally just ordered an aliquot of dye for my 360 an hour ago. I think I’m looking at a rear main seal, which I’m dreading. Hoping it’s a pan gasket. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Hey how are you??? Yes I thought it was the rear main seal also,, it was literately dripping from top to bottom and the bottom grill was drenched in oil..... I hope it’s just your Aerator also......fingers crossed.... Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Well they look like they were welded by a blind 4 year old, I'm not surprised. A competent welder should be able to fix in about 5 minutes though.
You gonna pick up a “new” aerator or try to repair that one? I’m sure mine is internal. Have car on my lift, clutch inspection cover off, and is definitely seeping from between flywheel and back of the engine block. Just not sure how high and if it’s coming from the rear seal. I kinda know it is, but I’ll know for sure in a couple of days. I remember in another thread a couple of years ago Brian (rifledriver) mentioned the pan gasket may be more common than the seal. With the scope of the repair I feel obliged to check. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Perfect. Nothing like a (relatively) easy fix. Thanks for sharing. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
