F8 exhaust options. GPF delete

Prefer Kline or Novitec sound/pitch. Seems a little muted, not as high pitched as I would like.

 

Sure, however this has the GPF still in place and for that it sounds quite decent. I think it's the only after market solution I came across which hasn't the GPF removed.

 

I was not aware that any aftermarket exhaust would include the GPF. Maybe for those that don't want to eliminate it or those is Europe?

 

If you don't want to install CEL delete module or tune the ECU It would be the logical choice. I have the X pipe from Fabspeed that deletes the center resonator and has a noticeable sound improvement which i will use till I decide to get whole system installed after warranty expires.

 

I wasn't aware either. But for those in Europe that's good news to have a "more legal" option to make the F8 sound decent.

 

I think these guys were thinking ahead and at the untapped Europe market. Aftermarket exhaust with GPF, brilliant. Now watch the liberals there go after the aftermarket exhaust anyway for some other stupid reason, even if it meets emissions criteria. I had the same done with my GT2 and it passed emissions but when they found out that it had an exhaust on visual inspection, they did not want to pass it. What sort of BS is that?!!!

I just ordered the novitec one for my F8 hopefully it works. Did your still sound good with it on?

 

It will workm regardless of valved or non valved. However, valve-less will be slightly louder than valved. Both will be louder than stock. And not obnoxiously loud.

 

Any exhaust updates. Anyone hear if Capristo fixed their dash light fault. I am thinking of doing Novitec power optimized w/out flap regulator and Novitec N-Tronic. Does anyone know what the benefit of the Novitec Switch Tronic is and should I add that in also? Has anyone done this set up and had any dash fault lights and does anyone know if any or how much HP will be achieved? Is Novitec bullit proof so far?

 

Novitec seems to be the most bulletproof, the switchtronic will allow you to manually control the value operation with cockpit button or remote. I’ve got the Kline system on order, but their OBD port plugin leaves a lot to be desired. If you go with the no flap (no valves) you certainly don’t need the switchtronic.

 

I had Excel auto in Boca Raton straight pipe my 2020 F8. Took the GPF and cats out. Loud on cold start but calms down to an amazing sound in about 60 seconds.

How long have you had it on and have you had any lights or defaults?

 

Do you need a tune like Novitecs N-Tronic for the Kline exhaust to avoid Lights and Sensor faults? If so does Kline make it or would you use Novitecs?

 

Sorry, just looked up Kline and they do make their own, thats what you meant by OBD port plugin. Wonder if you could use the Novitics unit w/ Kline exhaust?

 

threw at catalytic converter overheat code once but has no cat. They adjusted and fixed it.

No the Novitec Techtronic OBD plugin clears the codes, I would use it with the Kline system except Novitec charges 2x the price if you don’t buy it at the same time with a Novitec exhaust system.
