And who cares what other people think about a CS compared to a 360? Not me... Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Two types of car guys. Those who buy them to make themselves happy through impressing others, and those who buy them to make themselves happy. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Definitely the latter for me. I buy my toys for my enjoyment only. If I could afford both my 360 and a CS, I would do it in a heartbeat.
I'm married. My happiness does not matter. lol... I only buy things to impress others. Naturally I shop at Whole Foods for EVERYTHING. I like the third type of car guy.. the one who actually thinks that people would spend alot of money on a car and NOT do it to make themselves happy..
Ditto. I'm a closet narcissist, egomaniac and I'm extremely insecure. I need to impress others to achieve any self value. *lol*
Same goes for a 911 v a GT3RS. “Most people” won’t be buying a Ferrari so it’s a silly metric. “Most people” can’t add. Why are you even on FChat? Lol.
The point of this post is... ? (Despite the kinda arrogant and condescending tone when describing “most people”) If it relates to how a car will appreciate... comparing it to 996 GT3s that actually sell and don’t sit in a garage.. unless you bought early you ain’t making any money. There’s a lot of guys with one in the garage thinking they’ve got a collectible... good luck with that.
While a CS is definitely the pinnacle of the 360 line, the 360 is no slouch. Certainly not a “Gremlin” as someone mentioned earlier. The subject of this thread is depreciation, not who’s got the longest schlong. A friend of mine has a Dessault Falcon jet that would make a CS look like a pedal car. So take that.
I don’t give two flying sh1ts about what people think or if it goes up in value or not. I have the title, it’s mine, and makes ME happy. Drive one, if it makes you happy, then ask yourself how much YOU value that happiness. You can negotiate the price, search the CS market thread, and try to find another one. I believe the number for sale are in the single digits in North America. Good luck in your quest.
I have a jet too. You’re not your friend. What’s your point? My point is there’s a reason CS costs a lot more than a 360...... cuz its not a 360. No I don’t think the CS is the most amazing car on the planet. But it’s a lot more amazing than a 360 and the market speaks.
the point is that you are missing the point. that the thread topic isn’t about how superior this or that car is. It’s about price appreciation/depreciation of a car.
I’m going to change a quote from “Gone in 60 Seconds” a bit but the premise will remain the same. “there are too many self indulgent weiners with too much bloody money! Now if I were to choose a 2004 Ferrari Challenge Stradale then........” “You would not be a self indulgent weiner sir, you’d be a connoisseur.” “Exactly! Champagne would fall from the heavens....blah blah blah” ^ that how I feel when I turn the key to my car.
Reading subsequent posts by the OP, the intent of the thread is that he’s trying to make sure he’s not going to buy a car and lose his a$$, I think. If that is the case and you can get the car you mentioned for $210k, I think it would be well bought.
How do you discuss appreciation without talking about money and which car is more rare. i think the “superiority angle” is your response to your feelings. Nobody is acting superior. Your feelings don’t change the value of the car. I was responding to this post which I think you conveniently skipped over. For some reason you didn’t give this guy any ****.
Superior cars cost more. I think you’re also getting emotional and using the term “superior” when It wasn’t used before.
