Any reason to stay away from under a 2013 Cali? Just base car not the T.

    1) Speed sensor wires in the 2009-2012 DCT can chafe through, leading to an expensive fix. This has been extensively covered here. 2) There was an engine recall in May 2012 affecting a few cars. A dealer can check if a car you are looking at was subject to that recall and has been fixed.

‘13 and ‘14 are your best choices, and there is usually a good selection. Stick with one that has complete service records.

I’ve been driving a 2012 Cali for two years, and have not had any issues.

Same here. I have had a 2012 Cali for over 2 years and no issues after putting over 7,000 miles on it. That said, I strongly recommend getting a CPO and a warranty from the dealer (that’s what I did).

    1) Verify that the car was not subject to the engine recall,or if it was then the engine was replaced. 2) If the DCT has not been opened to fix or check the wiring issue, get a warranty that covers that problem.

OK thanks for the input. I had heard that some prior years to 2013 might be problematic. Getting rid of the 360 Spyder. Beautiful car but I'm getting to old for the low cars.
