Patek Philippe - the basics of building a great collection

I actually like the green dial. I bought my wife the green dial Twenty Four. I really like it. I think a green dial 6711 would sell like hotcakes.

 

I was trying to be funny with Patek jumping on the "green" bandwagon. I actually think a annual calendar green dial/rose gold combo to replace the 5146 would look good.

 

Green is the new Black! . I love my 5168 Grenade. Wear it all the time. Excellent piece. Im hoping for more 42mm watches from Patek.

although I just dont like 40 mm watches but if they give me one, im not gonna turn it down. ill wear for a bit and if I dont like the size, can sell and put into something else

The whole Patek market is nuts. I think the nautilus is a nice watch but I have no clue whats going on with the prices. I remember it wasnt too long ago that they were sitting in display cases, difficult to sell. Hell, the only reason I want the green face is cause you cant get one. lol. I dont even love the watch all that much. ITs too small for me at 40mm. Prefer minimum of 41 but ideally 42.

Im looking forward to getting my 5270j. Let the rappers fight over the nautilus. lol

 

What they said... decided to look for my first PP late last year, been an IWC guy for a long time. Basically no chance I’m paying the money being asked out there right now.
As a buyer, hoping it’s back to normal soon, although I’m hoping the same with lumber for my house addition. Lol

 

Luickly I have a great relationship with my AD and can pretty much get most pieces as long as Im willing to wait a bit. The allocations he gets is nuts. He showed me his computer screen- its like 1 piece here, 2 pieces there. Every popular watch he is getting 1 or 2. its insane how they articfially limit the supply.

 

The AD here had no idea when the new models will be available, not sure if just being coy or actually don't know? @SoCal to az @roma1280 curious if your AD's told you guys when they were expected to come-in?

 

All ADs are meeting in NYC next week to see watches in person and get allocations. Now I assume that first deliveries are in line with what has happened in the past. q3/q4. But my AD is in NYC at Patek to see new pieces in person.

 

Do tell?? What was in the care package???

I wonder if I will get a care package when my 5270 comes in August.

 

Lol...I misunderstood. I thought they gave you a nice package for buying a watch. ha.
