Good afternoon, I hope you're all keeping well. I'm after a little help and technical advice. A good friend of mine has an F40 which is fitted with a lift control module override switch due to a common issue of the module going in to fault mode when the system pressure registers a pressure bellow 25 bar and consequently blocks the electro-hydraulic system from working. As an interim, an after market switch has been fitted to short circuit the minimum pressure switches which resets the minimum pressure switch and clears the control module fault memory. I've read that for a permanent fix, there are lift control modules out there that have been been modified and these are identified with white heads of the cover retaining screws. Apparently these units were once available FOC from the technical assistance service on an exchange program for the old unit. This was all detailed in a technical document from 1994. Does anyone have any idea where (in the UK preferably) we can get hold of a modified module? Thanks in advance!
