I'm AE'd out, especially after one of their sales people red flagged me with the county police from 4 states away and nearly got me killed because she couldn't be bothered to ask about a quote from a tv show she didn't understand.
Way too long a story to put in here, basically a long discussion between several of us who are fans of TV's Supernatural resulted in me referencing one of the characters dying several times, and rather than ask for clarification from myself or several of the other individuals who reacted with "LOL" and such, she decided the best course of action was to call my local PD (in Maryland) from her house (in south carolina) and tell them i was armed and suicidal. So they responded with guns drawn threatening to break down my door (because if someone actually *WERE* in a mental health crisis, that's absolutely the best response possible eh?) if i didn't let them kidnap me, force me to the hospital for 4 hours, then tell me i was on my own to get home. "just doing their jobs" of course. (the mental health provider at the hospital spent less than 3 minutes in the room with me before telling the cops to gtfo, so props to her for realizing it was all horsedroppings)
I suppose it's just another story for the smoke pit at the end of the day, but I certainly had my eyes open to the inner workings of the local LEO's. but this thread is about shoes and to that end, here's my latest Truman acquisition, black bison. SO soft!! Love these guys already.4 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks, me too. Friends told me to sue--the police, her, the company, etc.--and frankly none of that does anyone any actual good. Doesn't make anything *BETTER*, doesn't help anyone period. No point. Just learn from it, and get back to having an awesome life, and hopefully the people so disappointed with their own have an improvement that makes them stop trying to drag others down. There's way too much negative, vindictive, revenge-driven crap going on in the world. I've no desire to add to it unless *ABSOLUTELY* necessary. I much prefer wearing a stupid horse mask and bringing a smile to faces instead. Life's too short for that much negativity.
Piling up by the couch, I better bring these upstairs before I hear about it! LOL Image Unavailable, Please Login

Converse All Star today: the temperatures called for a lightweight and breathable shoe but sandals or flip-flops weren't appropriate. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Got these James Perse neoprene slipons yesterday for the summer. Like all his other stuff they are very comfortable and easy to wear. Big fan of the brand. Image Unavailable, Please Login

No pic, but wore velvet loafers out to dinner this weekend. "Smoking shoes" aren't generally made for wide feet like mine, but I was able to fit in them albeit quite snug. My feet were killing me by the end of the night, but beauty must suffer as they say!
