I went out for a drive and within one mile of my house I heard a beep and these showed up on the dash Image Unavailable, Please Login op Image Unavailable, Please Login The car ran fine, shifted fine, and sounded normal. I shut the car off and restarted it a couple times, and within 100ft of driving, the beep and symbols came back. It’s a 2009 F430. Any ideas everyone? As I'm sure you already discovered owners manual suggests 'Drive Mode Switch Failure' & CST (traction control) is now off Many similar threads eg https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/broken-mannteo-switch-in-430.311802/#post-140244899
I just powered the car off and back on with the shutoff in the frunk. Still the same symbols on another test drive. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I did and it shows multiple faults. I cleared the fault codes and the problem still persists. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
+1 Clearing faults doesnt solve the issue The reason you record the error codes to help diag the issue ..clear them once you record them and then see which ones come back Sometimes a number of errors are stored from a weak start etc .. hence the reason to start fresh but still record the ones listed and let us know they were Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
Ok thanks guys. Gimme a little while and I’ll post them Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Connect a volt meter and see how far the battery volts drop when you hit the starter. You can get these if it drops too far
Are you getting suspension failure and abs failure lights as well? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sounds more like a voltage issue /battery issue/ground issue As mentioned above check voltage engine off engine on and starting Is the battery old ..is it fully charged Sent from my moto g power using Tapatalk
It’s a new red top Optima that’s kept on a trickle charger. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Right engine bank U0029 P1059 P0464 P1602 Left engine bank P1611 The above have been there for several months. They never triggered any dash symbols. The below ones are new. Antilock braking system C1505 Steering Angle Sensor Suspension Module Sachs Skyhook U1706 No Communication with NFR. Any thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Those were all taken under the F131E EV08 setting in the Launch. My car is a 2009 so I’m assuming it’s correct. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
this is a shot in the dark here Tur wheel to center Disconnect battery with quick disconnect from front ... wait 10 mins Turn back on Turn key on - do not start engine - wait for ok Turn wheel full right and then full left put back to center start engine and follow the below Self-acquisition of the Motronic ECUs works correctly when the intake air temperature is higher than 5°C. Therefore make sure the external temperature is not outside the value specified. Leave the engine running for approximately 10 minutes in the following conditions: car at a standstill with engine idling; water at operating temperature; all devices off (lights, wipers, etc.); air conditioner off.
Ok just finished. This still shows up Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Those previous symbols don’t show up on a test drive, but dashes are there instead. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
That just means clock needs to be set - look in owners manual to set clock - normal when you disconnect battery If you followed the whole process including idling for 10 mins with nothing on .. go for a longer ride now if you can When come back check to see if codes came back .. if you didn't wipe them yet .. record and wipe and then drive
Wow, I know how to set the clock. You sir, are awesome )) Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Thank you .. my pleasure .. hopefully it is fixed I would strongly suggest you wipe all codes out now and double check no codes after wiping out so that in the future we can see only new ones Happy driving
I’ll go for the long test drive tomorrow. Today is hectic. Thank you thank you thank you. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
