Might put it on Bring a Trailer or might list it here. Haven’t decided yet. It is very nice and all original. 19k Miles.
More exposure on Bat. I was a fan but I'm 51 and I remember him more from That's Incredible - and THAT was almost 40 years ago. I would be interested because I want to add a B to the garage and the Fran part would be cool for me but it isnt a good time for me at the moment.
It's with a heavy heart that I pass along John Apen passed last week. He was on vacation with his wife Carol in the Czech Republic. Details are pretty sketchy at this time. He was a friend and a mentor. We usually talked, or if you knew John - I listened, a couple times a year. We lost a good one.
Steve, Long time no hear. Schumann e-mailed me about John on Sunday, but I have no further info. On another note, Serio has been in the hospital for about the last three weeks but is getting better. Let me hear from you.Rick
I am posting to put out a request for anyone who purchased a Ferrari from FAF, or has an interesting FAF memory - good or bad - to share, to please PM me here, or drop me a line at [email protected]. I would be especially interested in hearing from anyone who also has photos and/or documentation related to their experience. Thank you!
Sadly no photos but a very fond memory of FAF. My ask to my parents for my 15th birthday was a trip down to Atlanta from Chattanooga in 1990 with my 2 best friends to go visit FAF. The staff was extraordinarily kind, even letting us walk through the service area to see what was in the shop. I vividly remember seeing the blue Koenig Testaroosa convertible and loving the clear engine cover...got a huge kick a few years later seeing that car in R&T. My dad ended up test driving a 328 and I must have spent the entire drive home and the next 2 weeks trying to convince him to get it. Sadly it never happened and I didn't get to scratch the Ferrari itch for another 20 years. I always fondly remember that trip to FAF and the feeling that I was in a truly special place.
I am very excited to announce that I am now accepting pre-sale orders for my labor of love, THE FERRARI PLACE, a book compiled and expanded from the 3-part series on FAF Motorcars that ran in PRANCING HORSE. The book recounts a very special time in Ferrari's history in North America with memories and observations from many of FAF's former staff, customers, enthusiasts, and is packed with photos, all beautifully designed by David Williams. Each copy of the extremely limited first run will be hand-numbered. The book will be a very nicely bound, 4-color, offset-press hardback with a laminated cover. If interested, please drop me an email at [email protected]
