For Sale F40 Engine and Spares

OK, interesting turn of events, short story.. Client is bowing out of project to restore his F40 engine. History, is unique. The cylinder heads, intake etc.. all except the block are from Amir when he campaigned on the salt flats. The block was never installed or used/assigned to a chassis. It was a spare that Ferrari sent to the museum of modern art in NY, still has the Ferrari tag on it.

There are lots of odds and ends, lots, multiple exhausts, turbos, etc.. bottom line it's roughly 80% of a complete engine with duplicates of some bits.

The owner is looking to sell off everything, either all together or in parts.

4 Camshafts, worn, journals are scored, lobes show pitting and wear, fixable

1 Crankshaft, 62.738mm main journal, 43.357mm rod journal, journals show micro pitting. WSM specifications are 62.966~62.979 main journal & 43.619~43.637 rod journal. Crank appears to be 1st undersized.

8 pistons, CP Mfg, 298g weight, 7 with rings, 1 labeled spare

1 piston used, CP Mfg, with rings

8 Titanium rods 442g weight, bores not checked for Dia.

Modified front damper with trigger wheel

32 stock springs, with 25k miles of use

9 steel liners, 8 with surface rust and wear scoring, 1 un-used

F40 engine block, cyl heads with modified valve train, intake plenum and runners, belt covers, lower drysump pan.
