Thanks for that, damn fast. Start looking at it carefully and it looks a little weird, I do like some details, comments on BAT are good
That would be Creative, Personally I like the tapered out tightness to the bottom of the body, looks tough. Create at will!
And the deep dive continues..... I’m tearing it all out, lots garbage for a radiator and spare tire holder nobody ever needed, plus it’s all rotten, it’s still not all out, I’m getting signals from above that this car will special and different from all the other children (gt4’s) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That tow hook, you know that will cause a strap to damage everything, I’ve done it before. Just say no to freewheeling 70’s tow hooks with loose morals
Iam so tempted to trade services.... Then again ferraris choice in steel will always haunt... Always chasing rust... Fantastic work...
7 pounder aluminum radiator came to my door, at $350 I’m not even going to bother a re core on a 50 pound stock radiator, pfft crazy. I’ll start welding back all the inner structures up front when I get back from El Mirage land speed races after next weekend, then it’s go go time Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Slow week for Ferraris, I’ve had to build another high pressure pump truck for work as I blew the engine last Friday, sourced another truck in San Francisco, so I drove down Monday morning, back Tuesday with truck for a full tear down and chassis transfer. Now it’s back on the road and will be testing this weekend for next weeks work (I work for the Man) next week it’s back to the Dino so I can start the shake down as my leave it outside daily driver Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It’ll do 5000 comfortably, I drove back at about 70mph, when I towed the Ferrari back from Texas it was 80mph
Had a minute to start welding in all the radiator supports, I changed the profiles to match front nose sheet metal, beefier square tubing to protect the aluminum rad, gets a bottom Xbrace then side sheeting and final back together Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Where did you throw the A/C compressor? The York is common but the single groove clutch is special. Interested in that.... BP5ES is the correct heat range, gap at .22 A wonder it ever ran, on those 8s!!!!
Almost finished with all the guts surrounding the radiator, it was easy tearing everything out but a real pain in the ass making new everything, removed the terrible spots for Hella. You know it, super rare . I actually became extremely bored of chamfering the edges so I walked away and turned off the lights
I have the radiator back in, plumbed up, installed twin Spals, fired right up, everything circulating. Now it’s time to wire it all, I tore out the old wiring and fan relay that were already in place, the old fans were long dead. I have a new relay for the fans but then I thought why am I doing this, Ferrari already has relays and then I noticed that there’s just no factory wiring anymore for some reason including for the fog lights. I had planned on just installing aftermarket relays but I think I’d rather just do the factory stuff and keep it clean. Anybody know what the switch is really for? It’s the thermo demister, whatever the hell that is, the orange light comes on when you switch it. Oh yeah, I eliminated the spare tire thing because it was sagging and the whole entire bottom was missing anyway so I bent up a steel panel to make a tool area for storage or whatever, did it in two pieces so it will be complicated and factory like to remove it if somebody ever does that Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
