Are there any differences between the two?

I'm looking at buying a set and it's listed as 348/355 and not very clear on specifications besides the photo I've attached below.

What's the difference between front and rear wheels? Just offsets?

    They're both 8.5" wide?

Didn't some of the 348 wheels have an extra 15mm of offset in the rear due to the narrower rear track on the earlier cars?

I know there were a few odd ball sizes in very small numbers made including 12 inch rears. I dont believe they were intended for ferrari but had the same bolt pattern

The 348 offset differences are between the early cars and the later ones. Starting with the Serie Speciales, then the Challenge cars and finally the Spiders, the rear wheels are 25 mm wider to give more high speed stability. Anyone seeking better performance, and better tire choices, should upgrade their wheels to either the 355 18's or the 360 18's. Both are bolt-ons, although some people have the 360 wheels trimmed to fit better.

As for the Challenge wheels, early versions are 17's. The later 348 and all the 355 Challenge wheels are the same 18's. These are both a great choice, but you are hard pressed to find good tire choices in the 17's.

Ive seen those sunken centre ones before and I don't think they are original challenge wheels.

Yes, thank you Bruce for the correct part numbers.

There was an initial run of challenge wheels that are more "squared off" on the spokes and flatter hub. These were shown on 348's that raced... AND on the first "press cars" for the F355 challenge for the photo shoots and demo's. You can see those types on the white 348 above and the attached press car photo for the first F355 challenge...

Then later for the regular production F355 Challenge series, they released the final version of the rims which went to the teams. So if you raced a 348 challenge in 1995 and then moved on to a F355 challenge in 1996, guess what - old extra sets of wheels stayed with the drivers / teams.

To add to this speedline made a "street" version of the challenge wheels. they look exactly the same as the latest version. I will try to post the speedine ad from the magazines back in 1996...

    Yes...

Speedline made a lot of different wheels to fit a multitude of different makes of vehicles but only 2 versions were official Ferrari offers which were authorized under the race series rules for the 348CH and 355CH.

When these cars left the official "Challenge" series races they could put on any type wheel they wanted.

The street versions actually look pretty good. I wonder if Speedline still offer those.

No. They wore out the mold and have no plans to make them again.

Anyone saw this before?, they look exactly as the Spedline Sl886 but from OZ Racing.
I saw them in a website as the 348 Challenge wheels.

Mm.. I had before a set of OZ Chrono and this are not similar. This looks exactly as the Speedline and it seems like some 348 Challenge were sold with this wheels.

These were center lock versions of the OZ Chrono. They were not Challenge wheels.
