Not my photo, but watching a B1B do a full night afterburner launch at Oshkosh 2018 was amazing. Image Unavailable, Please Login
DC-3 17735 delivered 1 March 1937, photo likely taken in Louisiana in 1941, crashed in 1948 with minor injuries to two and written off.
I would guess that is in the late 30's because it appears to have a G-2 Cyclone cowling. Entry door on the right, also.
Thank you Gentlemen! It never fails to amaze me at the depth of knowledge and experience on this forum! More photos coming soon...
A beautiful Beech Staggerwing, NC18777... Pilot, perhaps also owner Mr. William Cason of Houston, TX. Mr. Cason was in the Oil Industry in TX in the '30's-'60's. Image Unavailable, Please Login
My neighbor has a Staggerwing. Beautiful plane, but apparently the design needs -lots- of maintenance.
Valiant Air Command's Avenger ditched just off of Cocoa Beach in Florida today. Pilot is fine, salvage operations are underway. All that salt can't be good for her. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Why is this boring black-and-white pic here? Because it was taken in flight from the first helicopter on Mars. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm pretty sure that was just caused by an error when the blueprints were made from the drawings. Nobody could possibly have designed an aircraft like that on purpose!
It certainly was designed like that! Blohm & Voss designed a lot of asymmetric aircraft, though I think the 141 was the only one that was actually built.
