I decided to paint the wheels on my Technomodel Ferrari 365 P2/3 gold. I used Tamiya X-12, but that's way too bright. Then I went over that with Revell 94. It's a bit better, but still too bright gold. The Ferrari gold of the sixties and seventies has a more toned down look and maybe a bit more green hue to it.

So I guess I need to mix up the Tamiya gold with some other pigments. Should I try a bit of black first to tone it down, or mix in another colour? If so, should it be green or something else? A brown maybe? Thanks!

    Best, Peter

    Tamiya Titanium Gold might work.
