So the trade happened today. Drove the 458 for about 2 hours. I won't be able to drive it again for a week (away for work....) but don't have anywhere to plug the battery tender in. Am I going to come back to a dead battery? (it's a new Interstate battery the dealer mechanic installed).

Love the 458. Can't wait to drive it more.

I'll let other experts comment. My opinion is it will depend on the battery you have now. If new or in good shape, a week should be fine. If not, even 2 days was enough for mine to go dead.

I bought my 2013 458S with 10k miles last October and, while the prev owner took good care of it, the battery had to go. I learned it the hard way. Once I did make the change, I've had it sitting for longer than a week a couple of times and no problem.

    Glad you liked it!

Almost certainly will be fine. I don't have mine on a tender and frequently go ~1 week without driving it.

Only one type of avatar can compare to a beautiful Ferrari image for an avatar, and that must be Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here album picture. One of my fav all-time bands and album!

Ferrari 458 Spider + Wish You Were Here music = Heaven for me

You'll be fine. Using a battery tender is obviously preferable and strongly advised ... but I drive my 458 once a week and it's not on a tender. No issues. You probably start getting into issues pushing into 2+ weeks. I can't go more than a week without driving my 458 (it's something I look forward to doing on my weekends) so I guess I'll never know ...

If I start experiencing problems I'll likely look into Braille or Antigravity batteries.

Congrats again on your purchase. I have a Huracan Evo Spyder and an F8 Spider on the way. Of the 3 cars, the 458 is definitely staying with me for the long haul. You're likely going to fall in love with the car like many of the rest of us have. Enjoy!

Yes, but Gilmour is a true genius IMO. Waters could write with the best of them, but Gilmour expressed emotion in music like no other. His guitar mastery is just about unparalleled IMO (ie: Clapton doesn’t approach Gilmour).

I used to have a 997.1 GT3 that I sold to buy a 458. I don't regret the decision. I wish I was able to afford both because now I want to find my old 997.1 GT3 again but they've gone up in price the last 3/4 years....one day!
