I want to highly recommend this car. Actually just sold it to Atlantis Motor Group and of course seller's remorse is kicking in once again :). I let it go for another car I'm acquiring from them. I can tell those interested that the car is truly stunning. The underside of the car is as clean as the top. They only produced 900 of these worldwide with only about 240 coming to the U.S. As I said I already sold the car to them so I have no skin in the game but some lucky new owner will be getting a gem of a car. Richard and Ken from Atlantis are great to deal with as well. GLWS.

Looks like a lovely car Tom. Love the seat insert color.

Just out of curiosity, what was MSRP on these when new?

That's a relatively limited depreciation over a 12 year period. Glad to see these specimens are holding value!

Beautifully appointed. From what I understand, this would be a V-12! Amazing car.

I’ve had 2 DBS’ in the past, first one was an ‘09 Casino Royale manual. About 5-6 years ago I bought it for $135k and it did depreciate down to about $115k, 15-19k miles.
Point is, manuals seem to have appreciated like crazy.

    Thanks for sharing Plastique.

I'm a huge fan of styling in general, and I don't think anybody styles their cars better than Aston Martin.

I've had a DBS (manual) and a Vanquish in the past, and now own a DBS Superleggera.

I've lost big money on the first two as Asia doesn't appreciate Aston and what the brand stands for. The earlier mentioned depreciation curves were also due to some dealer lack of investment in the brand here in Singapore.

However, irrespective of the steep depreciation curves, I continue to buy Astons for the way they look. Sharp lines, low stance, beautiful rim designs, small wheel-to-fender gaps, and all the other small things I look for in my cars -- details which, I've come to realize are often irrelevant to others. The big, brawly V12 provides endless amounts of torque. While displays and entertainment systems are not at the leading edge of design, they are functional and work as intended.

Aston has made some strong in-roads in recent years into the US, although residuals don't remain very high (the car in this thread seems to buck the trend). Along with this growing awareness, the DBX SUV will also help the brand story and continue to create greater awareness amongst customers globally and in the US.

The DBS Superleggera is anticipated to figure prominently in the new James Bond movie, which will be dropping soon. And with a strong line-up of new / refreshed model released slated for the upcoming period, I remain long-term bullish that Aston will continue to make incredibly designed cars that tug at your heart strings.

I don't know much about the vision that Larry Stroll has for Aston, but I hope he continues to build on the success the brand has achieved in the past five years.

Apologies for going off-topic, and good luck with the sale Richard.

Hi ghost! I've got a manual DBS in Singapore and there's a small chance it could have been yours. I understand there are only 4 manual units on our shores and I've had mine for around 3-4 years now with no plans to ever sell it. If you're ever up for a drive one day please do reach out!
