Hi, I recently purchased a 2011 458 Coupe w/7000 miles. I noticed the seat bases as you went towards the seat backs felt like sandpaper. My old 360 had daytona seats this does not. Is there that much of a difference in the leather or just neglect from previous owner. Please Advise, Thanks, Pcamp56

That sounds odd. I understand it being sandpaper on the dash where the sun hits it but not in the area you described. You think it would be softer because its not been used. Perhaps the owner just didn't clean/condition that section. Have you tried Leatherique?

Congrats on your new 458. X2 on Leatherique. I use that on my 458 and the leather is soft and supple. I apply the first part and leave it on for a couple of days. Then use part 2, wipe and buff. It will retain the natural matte finish, in other words it does not leave any shiny finish.

Thanks for the suggestion of Leatherique. Does anyone have a problem with the Lexol cream conditioner??
