I purchased 45915 about a year and half ago and have not used her Image Unavailable, Please Login . This is a 20,000 km car I bought from the original owner. I went through the fuel system and replaced the plugs as well as the original wheels and TRX's. I purchased a set of 16"x7" rims from Superperformance in 80's gold and found some v rated Firestone GrandTouring tires in 225-60-16. Car drives beautifully. I totally "get" these cars.

nice ride! How are the leaks? Mine had low miles and leaked from every pore. After all the fixes, I'm driving mine as a daily driver and it's fantastic.

Has got one leak out of the back. Haven't located it. don't know if its high or main seal. Next on the list is the kickdown switch, fuel door actuator and antenna. Then back to mechanical. I have a 27 mile one way commute daily, hope to take it once or twice a month as a Friday treat.

Great looking car, tires seem just a bit beefy for those wheel wells, do they scrape? OG tires are TRX pain in the ass for regular use so I can understand the change, just curious if those firestones change the dynamics...

Thank you. The theoretical diameter for the TRX 245/55 VR is 684.5 for the 225-60-16 the theoretical diameter is 676.4. The firestones are about 8 mm smaller in diameter and about 20mm narrower. The tread is not visible from the sidewall on the Firestones so may be an optical illusion. The quiet and smooth ride far outweighs the tread width loss for me. There is an old thread about putting 16" wheels on a 400i. That thread is where I got all of my info for the conversion. You will need 15mm spacers and can use the original lugs.
