Thanks! It was a few years ago when it first became legal.

That first pic the old "rising turn" after the esses?
They used to have a pole with graduations before they flattened it to see how high you got LOL

Yes, The Uphill, Tim. If you're going fast enough, you get a little wheel spin as you crest...

I so want to track my 348 but it's not back from the shop (remember the engine let-go) and I'm apprehensive about pushing it with its new-to-me
rebuilt/used engine... So here I am at LR at the top of the hill in my AMV8S (modified to 470 hp)... AMOC events are lightly attended so it's like having the track all to myself. My best time there is a 1:05... I need bigger balls to manage a faster time.

A 1:05 lap time at LRP is very respectable, Dan. We would like to hit or go under 1:00 but that takes time and a lot of practice. I've seen impatient drivers spin out and some even damage their cars trying to hit that "magic" 1:00 lap. Common places where they go off the track are Turns 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7.

Four years ago Robb Williamson photographed my car standing in the same spot as the photographer who took that picture of your car...

Dan- let me know next time you're at Lime Rock. I live about five miles from the track, and would love to meet-up and chat!

    The Aston is beautiful!

Jason: Will do and it would be a pleasure to ride with you and learn the track in your 348 Challenge. Here I am in the late '70's in my Lancia.

I once lost it coming out of turn 3 in my Lancia Scorpion while following a Europa... I backed off as I came upon the Europa too quickly and suffered trailing throttle oversteer. Blacked flagged then back out...
