This is probably common knowledge but just in case… the factory installed interior lights in 308 GT4s (Door, Roof) were made by BOM. The BOM lights are replicas of the original Hella lights installed in 246 GT/GTS until about '73/'74 when Ferrari switched to BOM as manufacturer for installation in 246 GT/GTS from '74 on and 308 GT4s.

The Hella lights are still available, they were also used for Porsche glove compartments. The order code is Hella 2JA 001.355-001.

My 1975 Lamborghini Urraco has the Hella/BOM lights as well. Good find.

Any idea of where to obtain them? I put LED lamps in mine and a toggle switch to turn them all on (when the doors are closed) and have been quite happy with that, but I would also like nice, shiny new ones ...

In Germany they are easily available via ebay, at €35 each. Just ebay or google for the Hella order code or "Porsche glove compartment light".

Must be a German thing. Both Google and Ebay deliver no results here.
What year / model Porsche are they used on?

VW/Audi lights are closer to Ferrari supplied lights. I have some old Audi lights in my GT4 doors (still have the originals), the biggest difference is the lack of chrome trim. My car is a factory sunroof car so it doesn't have a light over the rear window. With just the 2 door lights it's almost like trying to illuminate the interior with a match. Drop something at night and I have to find it by feel.

I bought this type which are identical looking but don’t offer the three way rocker. They are designed for a switched 12v rather than ground so you have to use electrical tape to isolate the one over the back seat or it will stay on all the time.
